Didn't even realise that there is ANOTHER international break after Saturday until I heard it on the radio on the way home...
This is getting bloody ridiculous now... We'll end up with more internationals than League games soon... Chuffing hate them 🤬

You just feel your heart sink when yet another of these fucking international breaks come up.
As exercises in futility go they top the list.
However, unusually there will be a modicum of interest in this one since apparently the England team have a new German chappy at the helm.

We always seem to build up a slight head of steam beforehand as well.

Strangely enough it's always been the way, for a good while now, but still feels a right pain when it comes around every month through the Autumn period. & then kicks in again in the Spring..
Even affects quite a few League One clubs now with game postponements, at one point not so long ago it only seemed to affect Premier League clubs but not anymore.
As a pain that International Breaks are, & they do seem to come around quicker each season, I guess that they're needed to allow us to have summer tournaments every couple of years that we need to qualify for. & even though we all say we don't or wont get excited for England tournament participation anymore, tournament fever definitely grips you when it arrives and all our hopes get lifted & anticipation mounts again!
& at least tournament footy always fills the summer void between close season and pre season!
But all that said, I'll definitely be glad once this next international breaks been and gone! 😉🤣

Hate them but hopefully will give us a chance to rest a few tired bodies after a heavy run of fixtures.
With no games it’ll means 2 weeks closer to fitness for Gallagher and Lawal without any defeats.

At least it gives us chance to put Enda in a cryogenic chamber so we can tease some more games out of him 😂

No doubt the mighty & righteous of the PL will continue to whinge and whine about fixture congestion. After the next break that’s 3 weekends already lost and probably another 3 in the spring for a ludicrous competition that few know what it’s about and most have no interest in.

Go into the break in around 10th with players to come back and another week to work on things.

He doesn't start til January does he? Oh, there won't be then. What's he doing until January?! The FA are following the US Presidential model of leadership. We have this weird period now where we know who the new guy is, but the old guy gets a few months before the new guy is "sworn in" .

Why do people act like these international breaks don't happen every season?
It's literally the same every season and yet every break you get people acting surprised there is one.

It tends to be 3 in the autumn and 1 or 2 in the spring depending on whether there's a big tournament coming on. Not long ago there were international games programmed for August as well, but clubs didn't want to release players who weren't really match fit that early in the seasson or even before the season began.

IF & it's a big if,we go into the break with 3 straight wins,it's the last thing we needed.

At least we'll be fortunate enough to witness the talents of Harwood-Bellis again, as he's somehow been called up

Tom Cannon and Andy Moran have been called up to the Irish squad for the forthcoming internationals. Good for them, but not necessarily for us.

Only good thing as far as I'm concerned is that it gives me a chance to go and give one of our local non-league sides a bit of support.

Back in the day internationals were mainly friendlies that were played mid week. The WC and Euros qualifiers were spread over 2 seasons so games were few and far between. Rarely was a league football weekend disrupted. Now I’m not even sure what the new competition is and how it works, but inevitably it’s all about money making.

Is it surprise or disappointment that it is still the case? The domestic season never seems to able to build up any kind of momentum until Xmas. It's a very fragmented arrangement

Is it surprise or disappointment that it is still the case? The domestic season never seems to able to build up any kind of momentum until Xmas. It's a very fragmented arrangement would prefer it went back to just playing internationals mid week but that isn't going to happen would one long international break for 3 weeks (!) be better rather than the 3 we have Sept,October & November? (as well as the March one) or don't have any international breaks but finish the season a month earlier & have all the internationals April & May? Would that be better?
