Decent form, let's hope we're finally turning a corner. We have a terrific keeper and players in the team who know where the back of the net is. With Lawal and Gally on the way back to fitness it might be the beginnings of a good team. Gouranga.

If we’d lost tonight (yes I know, if my uncle had tits he’d be my aunt) we’d be level on points with 22nd.
What a mad league.

You’d think he’d lost 7 in 7 reading and witnessing the over the top bollocks about him.

I don’t think that the OP has said anything that might come back to ‘bite him on the arse’. He’s just stating that, after 1 defeat in 7, maybe things are looking up…. Maybe he’s wrong, but surely you can appreciate the positive element of what he’s trying to say? Or shall we just constantly slate the team regardless of anything?

No im buzzing tonight, its a great result and super happy for the guys. I just made the same post a few months ago after a couple of Schumacher wins, and really thought we had turned a cornver. Nothing against the performance tonight, its just Stoke these last years - we dont go on long winning runs in the Championship

They're obviously still figuring it out - and today showed that we're much better with 3 lads in midfield.
Picking up points in this transition phase isn't a bad thing at all.

Nothing against the performance tonight, its just Stoke these last years - we dont go on long winning runs in the Championship I know what you mean but I feel like NP has come in and gradually improved and you can see signs, Schumacher came in and started well then seemed to lose confidence in whatever it was he was trying to do. Feels like Pelach is perhaps what we thought we were getting with Schumacher. He seems to have them well drilled and invested, not sure Schumacher ever quite got that, despite the odd run of form and decent result.

I'm loving the fact that even when we're under pressure the players are putting their bodies on the line and working for one another, looks like a real united dressing room which is good to see.....

Trouble is SS setup for a DM and 2 CAM and this doesn't suit how Pelach wants to play, so his hand is being forced by those signings. It's going take Pelach and couple of transfer windows to get things how he wants the team setup to be that is if Walters/Coates has the patience to ride it out.

in that time we have mostly been shite I think you’re missing the point. Not at all, I dont think he is the right man to take us forwards. Im a stoke fan and pleased we wont tonight, but honestly we have been shite, even tonight, we were shite (better defending i will give you that) but mostly we were not very good and if vicktor wasnt in goal well..... Tell me im wrong?

Tell me im wrong? You’re still missing the point, but aside from that…. Being shite at football can be an ambiguous comment. We’ve not knocked the ball around particularly well and we don’t have many technically good passages of play, currently - Yet we’ve had 1 loss in 7 - So although we’re ‘shit’ hardly anyone can beat us, at the moment. Strange that, but of course, not that strange because it’s all down to Johansson…. Or is it? They had 7 shots on target. Do you think that another keeper would have let 5 or 6 of those in? Of course they wouldn’t and we should have had at least 4, if we’re talking in terms of ‘ifs and buts’. Don’t get me wrong, Johansson was immense, but it’s not as black and white as you make it sound.

One defeat in seven breeds confidence. OK we have been under the cosh in a few of those games but the fact that we have still come away with a point or three breeds confidence because the players can see that what they are being asked to do is working. Confidence breeds confidence and this sort of run can lead to a team playing better and better as the doubts they have diminish. We have to see if this will be the case with Stoke but football is a confidence game.
I don't think we are good enough for promotion but nor were Luton two seasons ago when their roll just kept on going.
The main difference between the Pelach era and the Schumacher one is consistency. Under Schumacher we had some good performances but apart from at the end of the season they invariably seemed to be followed by defeat.

Pèlach is a coach so whilst he might have some say in transfers it’s mainly on the DOF and recruitment team to decide on players and Pèlach just has to coach them.

I still think we're a side that looks like they're going to finish between 14th-20th - but there's fine margins in this league.
Win the next one and we'll be on the left hand side of the league table for the first time in what seems like an absolute eternity.

Lot of turmoil at the club early season and I think we've got the best squad of players since we were relegated Plus they will get better as the season progresses

Just seen us play too many sides now who have not only outperformed us but also had a huge shot count. Despite the result I'd still be surprised if we finished above Blackburn based on tonight's display. It's a long season though and I think we will improve particularly when we get Gallagher back.

I’m just not seeing it either despite some favourable outcomes. Great if we can keep picking up points without playing well but I’m far from convinced atm. I keep reading posters saying this is better and that is better, maybe it’s a style of football that just isn’t to my taste but I’m not particularly enjoying watching us apart from the Portsmouth anomaly.

We could have been pummelled several times - even at 1-0 Last night their striker missed the target from 1 yard out - but I really love how we are getting points despite the lack of possession or any discernible midfield bite.
During Jones’s terrible run we often did the opposite, playing half decent but unable to buy a win. Lucky> good
He seems a bright lad and I hope that despite talking as if it’s all part of a plan, he will stiffen up the midfield soon. Lawal might help with that.
