Come on Stoke...a 3rd win on the spin puts this season right back on track. Just do eet lads 🙏 If we win I think it could really propel us forward for the season. Go into the international break in a good position with 3 wins on the bounce, ready to go again. I just hope we play well or at least get something as a loss probably sees us back to our usual place of 16th. Just give us a glimmer of something, please. It's just a shame that we have to go on such a decent run (1 loss in 7) and still only just hover about mid-table. These will no different than what they normally are - big, strong and hard to play against. I hope we either live up to the physical battle, or don't need to get into one at all by just outplaying them. Good test for NP as well, they'll be a different proposition than what he's faced so far but I'm sure he'll know all about them.

This game represents a big opportunity for the new regime to change the narrative. Win and we'll likely be top half, lose and we'll be around 17th.
These are the games we have consistently lost over the last 7 years which have built the frustration in the supporters.
I know nothing about Millwall but anticipate they'll be big, strong and direct which will cause us a few problems.

Millwall in brilliant form but, off the top of my head, they rarely get much out of this fixture? Similar to us down there.
I’d actually take a draw and view 7 from 9 as a superb return.

We are shite in recent years. Won 2 from last 12 in total (D4 L6) Our home record P6 W2 D2 L2 Lousy goals total of just 15 in 12 matches. Us 5 Them 10. 0-0 looks a good bet or at least 1 or less goals. www.11v11.com/teams/stoke-city/tab/opposingTeams/opposition/Millwall/

Not expecting much from the match but it'll be nice to mingle with some of their more passionate fans to discuss the works of Voltaire, the cultural impact of the 95 theses of Martin Luther and Nietzsche's On the Genealogy of Morality. Proper football day out. They do like their philosophy. Last time I went to The Den, one of their fans called me a Kant. Oh bravo sir - excellent work Think we'll hand them their arse on a Plato tomorrow...

Everyone seems to hate this fixture, and know exactly what they're going to get
They average 39% possession overall, and even lower in away games- with 21% and 30% in their last 2 games at West Brom and Swansea
It's going to be attack v defence.
But somehow they've eked out the 6th best XG for (lots of it in set-pieces where they're top of the league in terms of chances created by a mile) and the 5th lowest XG against - which combine for the 3rd best difference between the two , behind only Boro and Leeds!

Not sure about that, we don’t exactly keep the ball well ourselves. Maybe nobody will have the ball.

A couple of games against Millwall always stick out for me are the 3-2 win there in the promotion season with Lou🤔( I think) and the 4-3 at the Vic with a last minute winner if I remember rightly in a end of season nothing game Oh and also I was at the game when we lost to a 9 man Millwall team😳

To win this game we need a strong ref. They are obdurate, nasty and physical and if the ref lets the string arm tactics go unpunished early on, they will have licence to continue throughout the game. An early goal and a strong ref with mess with their routine!

They nearly had that metal fence down outside the away end too. Had to leg it with kids

Not sure if this is their main forum. Worried about energy levels but can't see it being much different for us. I guess they have to travel up here tho. millwallonline.com/forum/threads/team-v-potters.56563/There's a prediction thread universally saying they will win too
