So if ours are fresher we stand more of a chance of winning. Magic. Even if the quality suffers? It’s about balance I guess. If we were a top PL team with a great squad I’d agree but if we lose to Blackburn because we field a weakened side and don’t beat Millwall then the managers going to look foolish for not having 2 bites at the cherry. I guess ultimately time will tell and of course hindsight is a great thing. It’d be interesting to see what the other clubs in the champ do so the theory is something to compare too. By rights this should mean the end of the ever present. I wonder if he goes down the rearing route he’ll go all in and start Ennis. I think Thompson for an away game where you’re not expecting a lot of the ball is fine. And if we field our best side to Blackburn and lose and then they’re knackered for Saturday and we lose that then he doesn’t either. Both scenarios are as likely to happen or not. Seko we can presume was fucked. Moran just wasn’t as busy as he’s been. And we know Burger is frail. That has to be managed. And flogging them isn’t good management. I’d love for us to rest Cannon. I still don’t think he’s that good tbh and he could do with a rest anyway but we don’t have the back up there to be starting. So I wouldn’t. Ennis should never play for us again.

Draw written all over it and with the frequency of games wouldn’t be surprised with a 0-0 as well.

Try to nick a point.

Tough game, I’d take a draw. A goal or two would be nice, so far we’ve scored once away from home in six away league games. Fair play to out away following then. 1 goal every 10 hours isn't exactly great! I mean talk about travelling more in hope than expectation.

Carabau cup ties however have seen an incredible 9 goals in three games. It this rate, we won’t score that many away in the league all season.

No reason at all why footballers in their twenties can’t play three games in a week. If any of them start to tire then use the subs bench and take them off. Other than Bocat for Stevens and maybe Koumas for one of the other forwards I’d go unchanged. exactly , they’re athletes and should easily be fit enough to, it’s a really poor excuse this 3 games a week , i’m 57 and been training mostly my life and every fitness coach i’ve spoke to about it just laughs at them

Draw written all over it and with the frequency of games wouldn’t be surprised with a 0-0 as well. Would happily take that 👍🏻 If we could back that up with a win at home to Millwall then 7/9 points is a good return for any Championship club from 8 days!

There early season form appears to have deserted them a little but it’ll still be a tough game. Not to Many changes for me though I can see Stevens getting a rest. I’d also consider bringing back Wilmot as I can see Junior struggling a bit with this one where we need a more disciplined performance. Vik Wilmot Phillips Gibson Bocat Seko Burger Moran Koumas Cannon Bae This but Million for Bae (with Koumas on the left). I don’t get the love in for Million. His decision making is poor. He’s greedy. He never goes on the outside & defenders know that! Yes he scores an occasional goal but he’s not a team player.

If Baker is playing for them, we could do with not giving away any free kicks in dangerous areas.

We’ve got 4 ex Blackburn players in Gallagher, Ennis, Moran and Phillips
Other than Gallagher I think all 3 should play - ex players always have a knack of scoring against their old clubs.
They’ve got Batth so 3-1 to us :-D

Shut up shop at Blackburn. Try to nick a point. Jesus Christ. 8th place, scored more and conceded less, at home. I don’t think them being on a bad run will continue indefinitely and we love helping out a struggling club with a confidence boost. It isn’t impossible or even improbable that they will lose. Negative I know and I’ll be cheering us on all the same.

Shut up shop at Blackburn. Try to nick a point. Jesus Christ. Not sure Narcis has got that in his locker, or we have the personnel to do so. If we try and shut up shop, we'll probably lose by 2 or 3. If this one is seen as the "bonus" game of the three this week, then make positive changes and have a go. I wouldn't be entertaining soaking anything up. Bocat, Thompson and Koumas likely in, with Stevens, Seko and Manhoef out. That then leaves really good options from the bench.

Agreed, although Millwall will be a really tough game, maybe as much as the Blackburn. They are a bit like Derby, big and physical.

We need 4 points from these next 2 to give ourselves some breathing room You look at the Hull & Bristol points that we threw away and realise how shit this league is,and where we'd be if we hadn't. It makes the capitulation in both matches all the more frustrating.

For the love of Sammy Bangora’s passport, have we not established that Thompson is simply not good for any game in any shape or form. He’s way out of his depth in this league. If we need to change it play Philips there and hopefully we’ll have Rose or Wilmott fit to play CB.

If Wilmot isn’t back I can see him going with a back 3 again as I don’t think he trusts playing Junior and Bocat together in a 4

Pretty sure we've established the exact opposite, he's perfectly fine most of the time and rarely lets us down, without being a spectacular footballer.
