There early season form appears to have deserted them a little but it’ll still be a tough game. Not to Many changes for me though I can see Stevens getting a rest. I’d also consider bringing back Wilmot as I can see Junior struggling a bit with this one where we need a more disciplined performance.

Ahhh, likely to be our usual bi-annual ripping by Tyrhys Dolan.
Bocat or Tchamadeau won't just be rabbits in headlights, they'll be flattened by the oncoming vehicle, reversed over and then pancaked some more.

It’s asking a lot of Seko, Burger and Moran to start 3 games in 7 days imo.
And Millwall is way more of the winnable one.
I’d rest two of them for Thompson and Sidibe against Blackburn.

Usually I'm always start your best team in every game, but given our injury/fitness issues we have to do this don't we? Like the poster above says, need keep Dolan quiet, he seems to enjoy playing against us!

Blackburn haven’t won their last 2 at home.
Think they’ll grind it out 1-0 or 2-1.

Blackburn have a pretty settled side an I like Dolan and Travis.
They’ve been struggling a bit up front so hope that continues!

May as well just give them the 3 points now by doing that. Those 2 changes will hugely lower the quality of the CM. Isn’t it about managing the players training rather than making big changes. I like Sidibe and he’s got a great future but I’ve not seen anything that suggests he’s ready yet for the Championship yet. With the “can’t play 3 games in a week” attitude you’re putting a lot of pressure on having to get a minimum of 4 points out of 6 every time we have 3 game weeks.. We also have a week off after too. With Blackburn on a poor run these are 2 winnable games. The only players we should be resting are Stevens and those with niggles.

It's difficult with so many matches in such a short space of time, but I'd certainly rest Stevens and Gibson for this match. I also think Million looks a bit tired so I'll leave him on the subs' bench too. I guess Wilmot and Rose will be available again, so I'll go for this starting 11. ........................Victor........................ Wilmot............Phillips...Rose..............Bocat .............Seko................Thompson............. Koumas..................Moran...................Bae... .......................Cannon......................... Subs from: Bonham, Gibson, Dixon, Junior, Stevens, Burger, Sidibe, Manhoef, Ennis. Tezgel needs another loan to build himself up, confidence, pace and power!

Blackburn are a decent side but they have only won 1 of the last 6, so they'll be a bit low on confidence.
We should be going for a point at least. If we have any ambitions of staying clear of trouble and finishing anywhere near mid table, this game will be a decent gauge of those ambitions.

Tough game, I’d take a draw. A goal or two would be nice, so far we’ve scored once away from home in six away league games.

And Seko was taken off presumably for fitness worries. We cannot and should not start 2 of them mid week if we want to beat Millwall. Sidibe is more than ready. And they can’t. They’ve shown that pretty consistently 🤣

No reason at all why footballers in their twenties can’t play three games in a week. If any of them start to tire then use the subs bench and take them off. Other than Bocat for Stevens and maybe Koumas for one of the other forwards I’d go unchanged.

Thought we looked toothless throughout tbh. We dominated the game and then the forward players got it and fucked it up. But yeah he has to change it up. Thinking otherwise doesn’t sit with the reality and what we see m and what managers and players say. Making changes gives us the best chance to win both games.

You’re essentially suggesting we white flag an important game on Wednesday to potentially give us a marginal advantage on Saturday against Millwall. I disagree. Just use the bench.

I think we go there and try and nick a point which is the plan for most teams in the Champo. A midfield of Thompson Burger Sidibe which is what I’d go for is a perfectly fine midfield for an away game.

I think Moran and Burger will be fine. I didn't see either of them struggling yesterday but I do think Seko may be rested for Thompson. I also think we'll see Koumas in for one of the wide positions because of his energy. We know Bae has the stamina from last season and on yesterday's showing he was better than Million.
It also depends though on injuries - both Junho and Koumas had hefty collisions.
The other risk seems to be the illness which struck Wilmot yesterday and reportedly a couple of others at Southampton. If Wilmot is back I wouldn't be surprised to see five at the back with Bocat and Tchamadeu pushing on and both Million and Junho on the bench.

In think we may see the return of the dreaded back five on Wednesday. I’m not a fan personally, but Bocat seems to play better as a wing back than as a left back in a four.

It’s about balance I guess. If we were a top PL team with a great squad I’d agree but if we lose to Blackburn because we field a weakened side and don’t beat Millwall then the managers going to look foolish for not having 2 bites at the cherry. I guess ultimately time will tell and of course hindsight is a great thing. It’d be interesting to see what the other clubs in the champ do so the theory is something to compare too. By rights this should mean the end of the ever present. I wonder if he goes down the rearing route he’ll go all in and start Ennis.
