Zero attempt to play the ball Studs up the shin Yellow would be too lenient Each club should be allowed 2 decisions per match to be reviewed by an independent committee of refs and ex-players I believe Roy Keane has put this forward and they are trialling it in the lower leagues. Rugby Union already has a system whereby a player can be cited for an incident that should have resulted in a sending off, for either a straight red or a second yellow. No need for any trials import an already proven process. Football should also import the penalty try rule, for obvious cases such as deliberate hand ball like the infamous Suarez incident against Ghana.

In a strange sort of way I'm kinda glad that he didn't get sent off. In recent times when we've played against 10 men we seem to implode.

Ref was right to play advantage but absolutely should have gone back to give him a second yellow. Really poor refereeing - was an obvious one.
