Referee saw it and waved advantage. Should 100% have been a straight red let alone a second yellow. Incredibly poor decision and one which has a huge impact on the game. Should be reffing Sunday league As bad a 'decision' as the one we got at Huddersfield a couple of seasons back. This here non sending off... Looking straight at it, still does nothing. Awful.

Definitely a red in the premier league you’d think

Surely it's a straight red card but not even a yellow is given. Gouranga. He did get a yellow didn't he? Not for that because then he would have been sent off for his second yellow!

2nd yellow for me. Ref should have caught that. In the prem though with VAR I reckon they’d have given him a red.

100% a 2nd yellow and probably a straight red in the VAR era.

I must have missed that one? Near the end. He got booked for it but only saw it in real time. Looked totally out of control and half way up his shin to me. It wasn’t high. Certainly wasn’t half way up his shin

The Championship should have VAR, and I don’t think we achieve promotion until it’s here.

Definite straight red, high and late. Quite fitting that he was “ fouled “ for our winner 😂 Absolutely. Very fitting that he was moved very politely out of the way!

The sort of challenge you see from hungover fat bastard centre backs on an uneven Sunday league pitch.
Junho’s modesty saved Phillips’s arse there, if he made an absolute meal of it then Phillips would have walked.

Stevens had a pretty tasty tackle as well though. Thought that could have been a red too so I'm happy enough with how shitty reffing turned out.

The Championship should have VAR, and I don’t think we achieve promotion until it’s here. Fuck that. There’s no agenda against Stoke and there never has been. We get our share of bad decisions but so does every other team. Championship refs aren’t great but VAR sucks the joy out of football.

Championship refs aren’t great but VAR sucks the joy out of football. not an agenda, but the PMGOL reports after 10 games last season indicated we should have had 6 penalties that were not awarded. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-southampton-referee-neil-8802365.ampThere’s no doubt we would have finished higher in the league table last season if we had VAR.

A good ref waves play on and then comes back and sends him off. Its almost as if the ref thought by playing on the advantage he had given us was enough. Correct.

Zero attempt to play the ball Studs up the shin Yellow would be too lenient Each club should be allowed 2 decisions per match to be reviewed by an independent committee of refs and ex-players During or after the game? After. VAR would've been a red surely? At least a second yellow

Never a red card, but certainly worthy of a yellow which would have seen him off. Don’t feel at all bad about the foul on him for our winner 🤷♂️
