A right back and a pacy winger would be my priorities although that would change if Lawal and Gallagher are still struggling with fitness.
Would love us to go for Poku who is having another great season although he’s likely to be expensive.

Maybe Phillips if he's not playing consistently.

A lot will depend on what happens to Phillips, Koumas, Moran and Cannon I guess, if they were all to be recalled we'd need a really busy window.
Assuming they all stay I think a right back, left winger and a midfielder would be the targets......

Similar to how we've poached Norrington-Davies & Cundle in previous January windows, if a club doing better than us shows an interest or a club willing to pay more than us, he'll be recalled and loaned back out.

Do we think Liverpool need money that badly? He is playing every week, his gamete being managed and he seems to be thriving. I would have thought it's the perfect loan for him and Liverpool. And who would want to outbid us for Cannon on current form? And if they did, wouldn't that be a bonus?

Players on loan in a struggling side are always recalled, Clubs might view it as a vital learning experience being in challenging circumstances and having to battle every week for 3 point.
It didn't do Delap, Clarke or bidace any harm.

Koumas is now getting caps for Wales and I can see him attracting interest from abroad and in England. He may well stay and complete the loan but I don't think it's nailed on he will at all.

I notice Sterling isn’t getting many starts for Rangers this season, would have him back in a heartbeat.

Would be a good start I think mick. Was really good at Huddersfield but another one not with much game time but I guess that’s the market we are in.

O'Brien is another who is only 5ft 8", we're desperate for some height and physicality in that midfield.

Personally I’d stick with Wilmot at right back

An old battered beat up centre back who CAN DEFEND.
A dirty ball winning niggly bastard in midfield who can PASS AND MOVE.
A horribly annoying centre forward with brains and movement who can RETAIN POSSESSION AND SCORE AT LEAST 1 in 3.
Sorted.

There must be the sort of players we are looking for in Div 1,they won't cost the earth either,so Walters needs to start earning his money to see if he can get those type of players in.

We say this all the time but the players signed from lower leagues tend to end up boo boys or weak links. Currently we have Thompson and Tchamadeu and to an effect Ennis cos he barely played in blackburn and was signed based on his time in league one with Schuey.

Said it before wouldn't surprise me one bit if Ryan Maee returns under this new regime. One thing with Coates he'll invest more money into January transfer window.
more quality in the squad, a couple of signings who can change a game.

I don't see any of the loan players being recalled as they are nowhere near the first teams of their clubs. We need to offload Ennis if we can shift him off the wage bill but I can't see anyone wanting him except maybe Plymouth. I don't think we should sign anyone. I always think it goes better with a settled side.
