It's going to be a rollercoaster ride but I'm all in on it I think.
We definitely seem to be fitter since Pelach took over.
We have also seemingly found the knack of creating very good scoring opportunities too. I'm not sure how, but it's there. Even though there aren't enough of them we will always be in with a shout in a game.
We are still pretty woeful in and out of possession and at the back (tonight was better) but that will get better as time goes on.
Can't also get away from the fact we only have 4 players over 30. 2 of those back up keepers.
It's a very young, very inexperienced squad

32 mins and not been hammered for positivity? That's impressive

The one thing we need to do is to shore up the midfield and make us harder to play through. If we can do that then there are grounds for cautious optimism as there are goals in this team.

I don’t get what’s to go “in” on? It’s going to be the same as ever. We don’t do rollercoaster rides, we do a lame lower mid-table carousel of win one, lose a couple, draw one, lose one, win one until the incumbent gets sacked and the next one comes in to dutifully keep the thing spinning. I have zero excitement or confidence that this is going to be any different.

You quickly try to track him down but he's ran off behind a hedge and is taking a tom tit You see his little face straining and his satchel dangerously close to the delivery zone You think "this isnt worth it for chasing £1.50" at which point complete apathy kicks in Meanwhile the ride stops after 30 seconds and you are left with a screaming and unhappy child. Welcome to supporting Stoke City in 2024

Only a guess as I have no inside information just using some logical thinking as unless I've missed something he hasn't even started training yet so I can't see him being rushed into playing matches for a couple of months and he will play for the u21s first.

You must either be some kind of a psychic medical professional or a ITK club insider. Which is it? Probably another, it’ll be great when he gets here Rikki Dadason, followed by another youngster we have too much expectation on resulting in just another average player like Sobhi Ramadan. Anyway, what has Bosun Lawal achieved to generate so much optimism? You can probably tell, I’m majorly fucked off with Stoke at the moment.

i’ve been told he won’t start training till the new year 🤷♂️ I think we've just got to accept that the best we'll get from him this season is a boost in the relegation run in. Probably the same with Gallagher. Getting somebody in who can fill their roles in January needs to be a top priority. Even if they aren't as good as they'll eventually end up being, we have absolutely nobody who can fulfill those roles so we have to try and find someone who can do it to an acceptable standard.

I mean we could have just signed Kieffer Moore couldn’t we? As for midfielders we’ve got plenty to fill in. It’s a poor excuse for bad results that those two are injured and we can’t cope. Nobody wanted Gallagher and now he’s very important and Lawal was released by Celtic after a loan at Fleetwood. We are in trouble make no mistake. Christ I’ve gone all Benji for a moment

Obviously a very logical choice because they're a far safer bet and can probably offer more money.

You’re probably right tbf, just seemed such a simple solution before then when he went to Ipswich as well
