He was a very average footballer who made up for his deficiencies with sheer effort and determination. Good or average footballer, he's an awful DoF, and can get to fuck with this managerial decision. Angry doesn't really cut it Why is he awful? What reasons aside from what I’m assuming is sacking Schumacher?

Very average footballers dont play 200 games plus in the premiership He was a good footballer Spot on. He was a very good player for us at the highest level. I forgot that Stoke fans love a grafter. Personally, I'd take one 'lazy' mercurial talent with magic in his boots (Fuller/Shaq) over x10 Jonny Walters any day of the week. I'm not suggesting that SJW was shit btw - just that as a footballer he was extremely limited (but made up for those limitations by running through brick walls). Anyway, I digress. As a DoF he's a complete chancer.

My thoughts, fed up with poor tactics, poor players, watching away fans celebrating at the end of most games, club’s pathetic PR, phoney training videos, rinse and repeat deluded press conferences, pointless fan zones with nothing to celebrate in, futile light shows.
Apart from that it’s 👍.

The chances we're giving the opposition is completely unsustainable. Every game the opposition ends up with at least 1.5XG against us, which is completely beyond the pale. The most expected goals against in the division since Narcis came in There's got to be some evidence soon he can stop the bleeding. Next 2 home games should be interesting against really rough and tumble Championship shithouse teams who like having the ball the least in the league. Interesting that Pompey had a better xG than us even though we won 6-1.

Wonder what this data guy Pelach has brought with him brings to the table?

Big mistake getting rid of shuey. didn’t bother me , what did was appointing someone with absolutely no experience This- I struggle to warm to managers now- they come and go- but i do see why, given how abject we had been all season- they got rid of SS. However- to do so and replace him with a bloke who i am sure is an excellent coach with NO managerial experience is , frankly, negligence of the highest order. It didn't bother me about SS- but the shit show that has followed is embarrassing. Furthermore, the transfer business over the summer was appalling- again. Walters needs to go ( as well as his manage- sorry NP- you seem like a good guy but on current evidence not what we need right now). We need someone with experience of the division. What also annoys me is how so many other teams pick up very decent championship players that are within our grasp. Bristol last week with Bird and Knight. Blackburn even with experienced heads doing the business around the more exotic name- people would have turned their noses up at someone like Weimann, pus they've bought in foreign goal scorers to good effect-of all our foreign imports not a single one had come of the back of a season of scoring with regularity. It's just so so frustrating. We need genuine championship nouse in the situation we are in.

It doesn't matter what he was like as a footballer, what matters is how he does his present job,& at this moment in time he isn't doing a very good job of it.

The fact that Baker and Laurent would walk in to this current midfield, says it all. His transfer business has been a disaster. The fact we had a limited budget and we've spent the best part of £4m on Gallagher and Lawal and they've so far returned 2 starts is fucking diabolical.

If we go down it will be because we deserve it. If we stay up, then again we’ve been better than at least 3 other teams, so again we deserve it. Am I bothered anymore? No.

I think we would have struggled to stay up under Schumacher and will go down if this guy stays in charge much longer.
We need an experienced leader.

A shit squad overseen by Adolf Walters and absolutely no identity whatsoever.

This data backs up what we are seeing with our eyes. We are way too open. The Pompey game clearly being the outlier. Bristol City at home being a prime example. Two goals up yet getting completely outplayed. The goals second half were not a surprise. It was just reward for how they were playing, how dominant they were and the chances they were creating. I said at the time it was an extremely risky, and unnecessary gamble (Getting rid of Schumacher). God only know what Walters was thinking. It is showing up to be exactly what it looked like. Naivety on the biggest imaginable scale. I can see Pelach being gone by January. And if that's the case, it surely makes Walters position untenable. But ultimately we will be left with John Coates pulling the strings, who apparently hasn't got a fucking clue what he's doing.

I think that’s fair but results didnt at the tine support the SS decision they absolutely support your point now though on NP . The window was a complete disaster while they clearly played out there personal battle and the result is what we see now the true victim being the club and team and for that neither come out with any credit . Sadly this bloke just naively walked into a car crash so reeling that two proper managers apparently turned us done i the summer and his approach since , his level of change and conferences jsut renforce that naivety coupled with a slightly weird disregard for the youngsters .

As a DoF he's a complete chancer. Myth. Shit footballers don’t score the type of goals SJW scored for us in some of our biggest games post the 1970s. He was a different type of “good” player to Ric, Arnie etc but then that’s the beauty of football. Maybe the fact that he did give so much effort clouded the fact that he could play a bit. Anyway it’s irrelevant. What’s relevant is his ability to be DoF in a toxic, sinking ship style mess. And it’s not looking promising.

I think Pelach's complete refusal to play Sidibe has been one of the most infuriating and confusing parts of his time here so far for me.
He is routinely picking, Thompson, Burger and even Seko is getting a few minutes here and there, whereas Sidibe has gone completely off the radar 1st team wise and its disgusting from the club when there should be a clear direction we are following the play youthful and promising players and it has gone out the window with the first coach change that happened.
The whole point of the model we are adopting is that Pelach is only the Head Coach, he has to buy into the club's needs and doesn't seem fussed about that.
I want him to succeed but we're now in a position where we neither play our promising youth players or get results. So no excuses.

I think you might be drawing a conclusion a little early, because it’s based on very limited data right now. Implementing a very different style of play is a pretty big ask of the whole squad, and there is bound to be a bedding in period, so perhaps the manager is protecting Sidibe in the short term but has plans to integrate him later? We will not really know for a while, but I think it’s too early to tell if you are right or something like what I’ve suggested is going on.

Agree Sidibe should definitely be on the bench at the very least, coming on with good minutes time...Trouble is, if we get dragged into a relegation battle, it makes it less likely he will trust the younger players..

The level of negativity on here is high at present and arguably what you’d expect given the running of our club. I don’t know where we go from here, as any loss is treated with extreme response.
Just hope that we somehow string 4-5 wins out of 6-8 games and turn the tide.

You can count on the fingers on one hand how may times we've strung together 4-5 wins in 6-8 games since we've been in this hell hole of a league. It's frustrating how easy we find it to go 1 win in 5/6/7/8 games and lose 3/4 games on the spin but we never seem to be able to consistently win games.
