No, we always go to the Oakenhurst Farm just off the roundabout at J4 for that exact reason, last couple of times in the Fernhurst it was full of arseholes....... Will try that one next time mate. I usually drive to away games but opted for the official coaches yesterday. Brewers Fayre so nothing spectacular but it’s not overly busy, the foods cheap and the staff are friendly. You can’t stay parked on their for the game though 3 hrs max but you can sneak your car on the housing estate next door to it and it’s about a 15 min walk….

Did anyone go to the Fernhurst before the game last night? Some of the Stoke fans in there were embarrassing… I was stood in the queue along with other stokies when I heard a bloke at the front shouting at the lady behind the bar whilst waving his card. He then started to pick the pints up off the bar which she had told him numerous times that they were not his pints. You could see everyone behind him staring him out as to say stop being a clown. Once he eventually buggered off 3 lads started to order some food. They then ordered a pint & asked how much it was in total. The lady told them the total which one replied that he hasn’t got enough money to cover it. They then had a long discussion about how they needed another 3 pints but all 3 had only got enough money left to get themselves to work & back for the rest of the week. Whilst this way going on the rest of the stokies waiting to be served including myself were all looking at each other wondering what the hell we were witnessing. I’m all for going to support your team if you can afford but come on lads, there is menus there for a reason. If you’re that short on cash then it only takes basic maths to total it up before going to the till to order. The poor last behind the bar looked like she was ready to top herself. This has got to be up there with the most boring posts ever written on this board

For a Saturday game our coach always stops at the Hoghton Arms just off the M65, its only 15 mins from the ground, always friendly and the food decent.
We dont stop for midweek games, so having got there at maybe 6.15 last night and the away 'fanzone' closed, we ambled round to the home one
Lots of food and drink available (like a Xmas market with little huts everywhere and seating), music on, was friendly, there were 7 of us (3 teenagers), had a great chat with some of their fans (they were very negative about their prospects!)
Also bumped into SJW as he arrived and he had photos with a number of Stokies who asked, was really friendly too.
The concourse smelled like a teenagers bedroom with that damp, sweaty smell of lots of blokes packed together and the aroma of urinals 😂😂

I was in the hotel next door for work. Pretty quiet affair then walked to the ground thru the estate.

I have 3 kids 22, 20 and 14 so yeah over the years lol
That smell after a day of gaming with the windows and curtains shut makes you heave. Then the attempt to mask it with the taste (not smell) of Lynx.
Am guessing I wasnt much better but deffo went out more!

I thought I’d post on this thread in respect of today’s Remembrance Celebration. Impeccable from both sets of supporters.
Stoke supporters have proved that they can lead by example by being considerate to specific circumstances on any particular match day home or away. Considerate to both our own supporters and others is a winner.
