Great first half. Steven’s good, Seko great (light years ahead of Thompson), Philip’s looks reassuring (Gibson less so, but no errors)
Maybe see Koumas for Bae after 60

Seko looks a very good player and seems to bring the best out of Burger who’s been better today.
We’ve been ok but not great.
Juniors been ok but worries me defensively.
I’d look at bringing Koumas on the hour.

2nd half, Derby's only play will be to get into the box, fall down and whine at the ref.
We need to keep possession to avoid them doing that. Run Koumas at them rest of the way.
If we ever learn how to pass...

Ok half IMO.
The defence has had a handful with their neanderthal strikers, and the same for the midfield. This is what a team looks like if they're all selected for physical rather than technical attributes.
We are the better team, but we need more composure in midfield. Too much playing the ball blindly. Junho needs to improve his passing, but he did set up Burger who passed to Stevens who passed to Cannon for the penalty.
Koumas need to come on for Cannon, or for Junho if they score.

Derby have athleticism, but are technically awful. We need to move the ball round quicker, which means taking off Burger (not that he's playing badly), moving Junho into the centre and letting Koumas have a run at them down the left. As someone else said, if we don't get three points from a game like this it says ominous things about the squad. Not sure about athleticism - they are big but they already look knackered. We just need to keep pressing and maintain a high pace and I think we can wear them down. |

The penalty wasn't luck, it was a penalty from stringing passes together. What makes a non-lucky penalty? |

Just missing the final touches to complete moves. |

They are big and bruising. I think Koumas offers more physicality than Bae do that’s the change I’d make immediately. Other than that leave it. Draw fouls and be a little cleverer with the final ball.

Turned into a scrappy affair but I'll take that if it means a much needed 3 points.
At least we have stopped the opposition peppering shots at our goal though they don't look capable, they certainly don't appear to know the offside rule.

This is another game where it's obvious what is going on and Pelach is doing nothing about it.
Perhaps we get away with it, perhaps we don't.
We need more technical ability on the pitch, and to retain the ball.
