And taking my Stoke glasses off at this moment in time I would have chosen the same. |

I hope there was a TON of midfield training going on this week.
Am a huge fan of two up front, but if our midfield keeps being absent, they are going to need the help from one of the two and here we go again with one starving-artist up front.

Midfield is our weakness right through the middle. We need to get Moran closer to Cannon and have 2 sitters behind him.

Not convinced by Cannon as lone striker, thought Koumas looked better in his showing there. Would be a good time to see if he can make it work though. We have to have three in midfield or as the last three games we are over run in midfield and lose control of the game. Bae can’t play left side midfield and Million not in game enough playing right. For me if he continues with two in midfield it will be his imminent downfall. |

Agreed, with Burger in for Thompson if available. ....and Bocat for Stevens as well! Bocat at is a liability. No positional sense at all. Causes huge problems defensively. |

They've got a seriously impressive defensive record but averaging less than a goal a game.
Can see a 0-0 those talking re them scoring a hatfull haven't seen much of them I take it . I think Hamer is out for them

Playing a defender and a midfielder in a front three doesn't improve your ability to defend - it just means you are less likely to score. If the piont is to shut up shop that line up only really makes sense as a 5311 or 451 or a variation on that theme. |
