And again all pretty inevitable He's scored 2 goals in 9 games Benj. That equates to10 over the season. In a top team. I didn't dislike the lad and would probably have kept him but don't make out he's the second coming of Alan Shearer. He's actually scored 3 from 4 starts so far! Other than that, 6 few brief appearances from the bench if we are going to be a bit more accurate with our stats.

Yesterdays men.
Campbell was wank for us in general and we absolutely mugged Leicester when we sold Souttar.
Move on.

I thought at the time we should have offered Campbell a contract. It's history now but he's a good finisher when he's fit.

Perhaps he realises that his career will go down the pan if he doesn't start to put more effort in his game.

Of course that's when he did his knee in and our season went west However, one can imagine he might have got a decent haul if he'd stayed injury free.

He’s not albeit compared to Ennis & Vidigal he’s a level up from shearer its all relative. it’s wasn’t our best summer decision. in my mind and said so at the time goal scorers are the most precious resource and hardest by miles to replace.

interesting in the latest sentinel story about Campbells progress at SU, gives a quote from Wilder saying Campbell was "Miles off it" in terms of required fitness levels on arrival. Makes you wonder what on earth or previous Coaches had been doing. NP definitely seems to have finally got the players fitter than they've been for years

No I agree mate. Way better than some of the crap we kept but it's hard to know what went on with him. Was there a fallout? Had he been told he was going to be back up? Was it financial? It's hard to make a judgement without knowing the full circumstances. But if we could have kept him and didn't it's quite an odd decision.

Watching him yesterday I thought how much fitter and leaner he looked, another indication perhaps of how the last regime allowed fitness levels to drop. He had begun to look very muscle bound at Stoke but not yesterday. What a pity if we lost him because he was out of condition and as a result not able to last a match or even run as quickly as he can.

if tyrese was not in good footballing condition at stoke maybe he should look at himself, was he really giving is all in training,, i think we had a little click down here where players like Campbell,Laurent and baker were taking the piss out of the club,,that,s why all have been moved on,,

So not bad really i don't suppose.

The law of sod says he’ll score one more then our leading scorer at the end of the season. That’s life.
Still think it was right for both parties that he left in the summer

NP definitely seems to have finally got the players fitter than they've been for years I appreciate our own fitness levels are regularly called into question but the context here is that Campbell signed for Blades after their first league game. It’s not as if he’s got a huge pre-season regime under his belt. His summer was undoubtedly disrupted by the death of his dad in June.

When he was with us, the problem was we created nothing and expected him run the channels chasing down balls but hey, he's ancient history now. Put Haaland in a team that creates nothing and his scoring record wouldn't be half as good. People only look at stats games and goals, as its hard to see how many chances they actually had in those games.

Maybe, but they're apart now!!! that might be why they are getting fitter no piss taking anymore now they are split up, Exactly, they were obviously taking the piss at Stoke!!! 3 players who have the ability to be better, just weren't doing it when they were together at Stoke!!!

If he is lazy he will soon return to type and be unfit again. Give him six months

Campbell was never fit for long enough for us. If he stays fit then he’ll post decent numbers especially considering he’s playing in a better side. Good luck to him but he’s no longer relevant to Stoke.
