If the game finished at HT, defenders would be getting 8s and 9s. Some of the scoring is focusing on the second half capitulation.
Viktor 8 - brilliant... but ultimately at fault for the first goal
Wilmot 7 - ultimately quite solid, our best CB is being played at RB

Victor 9 *MOTM, his third MOTM on the row, well done
Wilmot 6 couple of good moments otherwise ok
Rose 6 made a couple of good blocks, faded in the 2nd
Gibson 5 looked slow
Bocat 5 weak defending, ok going forward
Thompson 5 quiet
Moran 7 good and energetic today
Bae 6 bad passing at times, otherwise managed ok
Cannon 6 made a couple of good runs and pressed more than before.
Manhoef 5 very quiet
Koumas 7 looked dangerous at times
Junior 6 tried to make things happen
Stevens 5 didn't get going
Ennis 6 best of our subs

Two players from the current set up who would start a game….Viktor and Enda. Possibly Million if he feels like it.
The rest are substandard with questionable competence, application and inner resolve. What a bloody mess we are in again.

I thought the defense (in fact the whole team when in ’defensive mode’) had big problems pretty much throughout the entire game. It’s not just working when our two offensive flank players are not doing any defensive work at all, leaving the fullbacks on their own. Especially when the above players have a very poor game attacking wise as well. Both Junho (again…) and Manhoef were shocking yesterday imo. |

Wilmot 7 - I think he's a solid defensive RB but almost the complete opposite to what we had we Hover last season. I think he needs to support Manhoef more.

Thompson 4 - He just doesn't offer enough for me, or at least tonight. Didn't do anything in particularly well tonight.
Moran 7 - Thought he was superb first half but never really got going in the 2nd.
Bae 4 - Seemed to lose all confidence after he lost the ball on the edge of our box. Nice backheel for Bocat in the first minute mind!
Manhoef 5
Koumas 7 - Loved his energy and wonderful finish for the goal. His movement is top draw too!
Cannon 6 - Nice header for the Koumas goal. Couple of half chances but definitely would benefit from Gally being back in the team. He's just not the link up type of striker.

These 7s for Moran are ridiculous. Really pleased he's scored tonight, and he looks dangerous when he gets it on the half turn but he's got to learn to start making space for himself. When it's Thompson and Moran in there, Moran simply has to get on the ball from the CBs and Keeper. The 'support' he's given Thompson tonight was non-existent. 6 at best, like the majority. Vik gets a 9, Koumas gets a 7 with Bae and Manhoef scoring a 5. I'd flip that right round and say the support Thompson gave Moran was non-existent. JT is the only player who can find space when the opposition have the ball. Moran was one of our better players along with VJ and Koumas. Rose was excellent first half too. |

Gibson 3 - topped off by yet another sliced clearance

Thompson 2 - dreadful, and a mard arse.
Moran 7 - carried the midfield. Great threat.
Manhoef 3 - bit like test cricket, you watch incase something happens, unfortunately, last night it didn’t.
Junho 4 - loved this guy but he’s gone so down hill
Koumas 9 - too good for us. Balls to his “defensive positioning”.
Cannon 5 - may well have seen his goal tally for now.

Vidigal 2 - ran around like someone was controlling him with a knackered controller.

Wilmot 4 - all over the shop, left exposed by Manhoef.
Rose 5 - exposed by powder puff midfield
Gibson 4 - as Rose, blowing out of his arse after 60 mins
Bocat 4 - all over the place, left exposed by Bae
Thompson 4 - poor quality on and off the ball
Moran 7 - nice footballer but couldn't get enough of the ball
Bae 2 - joke perfomance
Cannon 6 - zero service, did well for our goals. Looked marginally better when Ennis came on
Manhoef 1 - waddled around like an umpalumpa. Embarrassing performance
Koumas - 6 - see Moran
Junior 5 - camel
Stevens 3 - looked fucked after he jogged on the pitch.

Both full backs were seriously exposed through the lack of support from Million and Bae, this led to our defence being cut open time and time again. Outwith our two goals the game was like the Alamo as Bristol City were able to mount attacks seemingly at will. If they (Bristol) could shoot straight we would have been thrashed. Our 'shape' in the first half was chaotic to say the least Questions: 1. Why don't the wingers track back? 2. Why didn't Pelach change things at half time? We were 2 up but getting hammered 3. Did we miss Burger? I think so...so when might we see Lawal 4. Why were our subs brought on too late? 5. When will Phillips get another start other than the above "what's the problem"?   |

Manhoef will be in the Prem in 2 years time so he says, not on that performance sunshine, As good as he can be his performance was disgraceful, body language was terrible and didn't break a sweat all night .people talk about how bad the midfield was but the first line of defence is the attacking line if they don't put any effort in then obviously it come straight back to the midfield. I'd drop him for the next game he needs a serious change of attitude |
