Hope it's not a bad injury, but I thought we looked better when Thompson came on!!! I thought the same, Burger has been poor this season!

You know a player isn't performing when Thompson is a better option (sorry Jordan).

You know a player isn't performing when Thompson is a better option (sorry Jordan). Not necessarily. They have a different playing style. Burger wants to get forward more. Thompson sitting deep perhaps was the best way to play against Norwich. It also allowed Moran to get forward more and he had an excellent second half having been pretty anonymous in the first half. I've already said somewhere else that Junho looked far more comfortable second half.

JT is under-rated. He's been in and out of several managers teams and often done a very decent job when called upon in spite of erratic tactic changes and team selections. NP's ideal of getting every player to be as interchangeable as possible is spot on. The sooner we get settled with the style of play and the players settled with what they are supposed to be doing the better. The fact that JT is now our longest serving first teamer suggests coaches see more in him than a lot of supporters do. as I've said before, some players quietly get on with it, not every one is a fancy Dan.

Completely disagree. Funny opinions eh? What exactly does he quietly get on with? We don’t want ‘fancy Dan’ we just want better.

On the plus side he’s been pretty crap this season so it’s not exactly a huge hole to fill. He looked well up for it yesterday. Even though he’s underperformed this season, his A game is one of the most impressive midfielders in the league, so there’s no silver lining here. If it gets Sidibé some extra game time I'd see that as a silver lining. And I like burger.

Hope he's not out long thought I saw him holding hamstring in ground.
Thought he was starting to find form again.. did alot of the dirty work that people don't recognise... tracking back, winning ball.. changing pace of the game and did well first half.
Thompson decent squad player for experience as filler but hope Sol gets some game time.
