Brilliant.
I remember that first game against Bolton. I had put my back out the week before and could hardly walk, but no way I was missing that match. My mates literally carried me to the back row where we were sitting.

Cheers for them. May end up putting them on a DVD if I can't find anyone who's got official ones!

You just sent me down a two-hour rabbit hole (and got me a bollocking…) but thanks for this. I had forgotten just how loud the Delilah was at KO against Man Utd on Boxing Day. You can hear the hatred and release from a generation who grew up getting shit from lads in replica Man Utd shirts as we floundered in the lower divisions. I remember being weak at the knees as the match started. Happy days. Edit: it’s at 1:09 for anyone who just wants to check out that bit.

I've just watched that bit back and found it astonishing that we went toe-to-toe with the champions with Amdy Faye, Richard Cresswell and Danny Pugh on the pitch. When you look at some of the players who got on the pitch for us that season (Cresswell and Pericard away at Blackburn!) then it really was so extraordinary that we did so well.

My mates literally carried me to the back row where we were sitting. We were a bit unlucky The concencus seemed to be that it was the kind of game we had to win if we were to stay up but the fact was they were a better version of us. That Fuller goal disallowed V Everton was a shocking decision. Looks worse now. Defender knew he'd lost the ball and went down

My mates literally carried me to the back row where we were sitting. Remember that day, on the train some Bolton fan was sat opposite me and my old man and he said something along the lines of 'No chance these lot stay up their best player is fucking Ricardo Fuller' all them years later when we give them a thumping in the semi final and then they got relegated at our place, I just think about what his face would of looked like and it brings a smile to my face
