He was a brilliant RWB for Sheffield Utd in their two promotion seasons (with Enda on the left during the first of those), exactly the type of player we could do with in that position now. Tragic to have gone so young.

Truly awful news for such a great player. I’m lucky enough to know what is a genuinely great family having lived with George’s brother for a few years. When I saw him the other week at our game at Oxford, he was explaining how eager George was to be back from injury and to get going at Panathinaikos.
I’m sure he will get a great tribute this evening, as incomprehensible as it feels to type that. Hug your loved ones whenever you can.
