Looks like a scene from Peaky Blinders!!!😁 Exactly. In fact there was chaos at this game when the Germans trialled a new weapon. A giant horseshoe magnet strung from the undercarriage of a Junkers Ju 88. The magnet collected approximately 40,000 flat caps, propelled by 800,000 Wilkinson Sword razor blades.

OS is a true Gent.
Many years ago when I (foolishly) attempted to write a novel, he took time out to offer guidance and support. Reading what I'd put to paper, and providing valuable tips and advice.
He even shared his own story with me, that he'd written (which was infinitely better than mine).
I never got round to finishing it due to life getting in the way, coupled with the fact I wasn't very good, but I'll always remember him for that. For giving his time to help, when he really didn't need to.
Thank you, M.
Hope you are well, sir.

I had a pick up truck with a Stoke badge on it and was parked at a bakery near the Cambodian border. This fella came over, very talkative chap and started talking about places in Stoke. My geography of Stoke isn't very good but he mentioned Dresden and I knew OS was from there . Turned out he lived next door to him years ago. He'd hidden 6000 miles away from OS but we still flushed him out Seems to remember OS told me not to pass any details on to him😁

Strange family. Dysfunctional. Wife eloped with somebody. That's after their son was killed (nice lad) on his way to work on the Rough Close to Stone road. I recall that he came around and told me his mother who lived there with his dad had fallen off her bike. She was infirm and I asked what on earth she was doing on a bike. He then said it was an exercise bike. I couldn't stop laughing. Another time she came round my place and said her hubby looked a bit strange and asked me to go round there. So I went round and had to give her the sad news that he was dead. OS.

As for my own prose efforts, winger edited it for me and then suggested I publish it and gave me the run down on how to do it. It had taken me about two years to write it but in the end I binned it because I was happy being me rather than an author. The satisfaction for me was actually creating a quite long novel. After winger died I deleted the whole kit and caboodle and haven't done any serious writing since. Take care buddy. M.

I mean 'his' left shoulder btw. Not the shoulder on the left as we're looking at it.

The shifty looking fella , top left hasn't got a hat. I reckon he's a bit of of light fingered type. As soon as a goal goes in, he'll be sporting a new bowler hat in the crush and Mr Longbottom of Longbottom and Longbottom funeral directors , the posh looking dude will be missing his.
