Firstly, this is NOT a racist comment.
Driving home last night I had this sudden thought that our starting 11 last night had no coloured/black players in it. All the players were white if we include Jungho. Obviously that changed when we made the substitutions.
I can’t remember the last time that happened. Certainly not recently with Tyrone, Laurent etc
Perhaps the 1972 league cup winning team!
As I say, not racist, just an observation.

Thought similar, with the influx of Icelanders. Randomly looked up the AWS win at Wembley in 2000, but… Kyle Lightbourne started and was subbed by Chris Iwelumo in the 89th minute. Interesting comparison of the flags showing nationalities of both teams: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000_Football_League_Trophy_final#:~:text=The%20match%20was%20played%20at,in%20the%202–1%20victory.

That's a good point actually. Even when I was a kid in the late 80s and 90s we usually had a few black players like George Berry, Stein, Regis, Wallace and many others. Maybe the Gudjon Thordarsson era where we had a lot of Icelandic and Scandinavian players could have been the last time? I don't remember too many black players playing a significant role around that time apart from maybe Wayne Thomas?

Interestingly the other night, Leeds had 11 nationalities starting for them which was a first.
I think we can safely say that Manhoef would have started if fit. Good job the game wasn't on BBC. They would never have stood for that line up

And ‘Coloured’ is considered a highly offensive racial slur. It comes from segregation historically in the US.
