On holiday so I can’t comment on the performance as a team nor individuals. I will try and endeavour to pick the bones out of the result.
Home Win - 👍. Even better than an away win at the moment. Good for the Supporters & Club
3 Points - 👍. Puts us right back in a tight pack of clubs on the same points.
Goal Difference - 👍. Moving from a -7 GD is massive
Cannon - 👍. 4 goals is significant for any player, but for him personally Whoosh. Written off by some a massive confidence booster
Gallagher - 👍. A goal and even more minutes in his legs following his stop/start SCFC career.
Timing/Result overall - 👍. Great moral booster, confidence builder for the hierarchy, coaching staff, players and supporters.
False Dawn & All That
Let’s hope the growing division between supporters on social media can be laid to rest for at least for a while ⬇️
VIS UNITA FORTIOR

Hopefully it will calm the twats down who were going way ott about the last two results.
I still think it’s a toss of a coin if we do ok (midtable) or he’s sacked in early December. But no one could possibly know which way that will go. So just sit back and see what happens.

It was a great result. Have to say their keeper was one of the worst I have ever seen at this level. Gallagher may well be the key player in this team. I just hope we can keep him fit. I think it was crucial to get a win before the international break to calm everyone down but don't want to get too carried away as it is just one result and we need to hit these heights more consistently.

Agree regarding the point about the keeper,he reminded me of the Bolton keeper(forgot his name) at Wembley when every shot seemed to go in

For me it demonstrated more about who was dropped than anything
fullbacks - looked more solid and better positioning. When they were replaced by Junior and Bocat it demonstrated the difference even more. Yesterday we had fullbacks before we had wingbacks who can’t defend.
Thompson - never takes us forwards always sideways and back. Moran was excellent yesterday. Thompsons a good squad player but shouldn’t be a regular starter.
Manhoef - Great player but Gallagher was brilliant and bought some much needed physicality to the team. He linked up really well with Cannon.
Rose for Wilmot - Worked really well though if I’m honest I’d have gone with Phillips.

On Manhoef - with the positions Vidigal was picking the ball up in the 2nd half when he came on - 1v1 with the full back, space to cut inside or go on the outside.. Manhoef would destroy a bucket load of the full backs in this league with the same opportunity. I quite enjoyed his cameo against Hull other than his choice of when to pass/shoot, but surely he's got to take that spot on the wing.

It was a great performance. But as we know there’s 46 league games and a lot to do before we can too positive

View from an absentee?
Are you Pompey’s left back?

View from an absentee? Are you Pompey’s left back? I’ve been called a few things in my life but never a “Pompey Left Back”. 😂😂👍

He was horrendous. Amazingly signed for Chelsea not long after playing V us. He was certainly on his level although to be fair, think only the first goal was saveable last night although his overally play reminded me of Billy Caspar in Kes .

And yet on Saturday the match highlights show an excellent performance by the keeper to keep a clean sheet for Portsmouth against Sheffield United. Who would be a goalie.
