I doubt it though, we recruited for 4-3-3 and the DOF system is supposed to stop random formation changes. EDIT: or 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2? But then you've got Moran deeper. |

We had a whole summer to sort out the right back spot and it’s the first week of October and we’ve got a crap centre half playing there.
Jon Walters is fucking delusional if he thinks we’ve got a good squad 😂.

That back 4 is woeful. Wouldn’t play burger either. Would get Seko in. Seko could be a competition winner for all you know Well Burger has looked like exactly that so couldn't be any worse. |

Two up front as Sam Gallagher makes full debut
Sam Gallagher starts up front next to Tom Cannon as Narcis Pelach names an attacking line-up at home against Portsmouth.
Ben Wilmot is expected to start at right-back, with Enda Stevens in for his first league start of the season. It's Ben Gibson and Michael Rose in the middle of defence.
Wouter Burger is joined in midfield by Andrew Moran with Bae Junho on the left and Lewis Koumas on the right.
Jordan Thompson, Junior Tchamadeu and Eric Bocat drop to the bench while Million Manhoef drops out with injury. Ashley Phillips, back from concussion protocol, is named among the subs.

Unfortunately you don't always manage to bring in the players that you may target and there's no point in bringing in just anybody for the sake of it. We're not the most attractive option I'm guessing for a number of players who are on our wish list. The only way to change that is to hope that we can start our improvement quickly. I'm pretty sure that JW is not totally satisfied with the squad but he's not going to say that is he?! That would only be something else to zap confidence from a squad bereft at the moment. GOARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRN STOKE! ps:  I really rate Philips also and think that he will have a big part to play this season |

Gallagher played off the left for Blackburn and got the best out of other players. Makes sense. Hopefully cannon might touch the ball as a result.
Burger sitting with bae and Moran in front of him I hope.
