all his talk of being more aggressive is worrying me unless i’m misunderstanding him , wouldn’t this just lead to giving more free kicks away ? Didn't we get 7 yellow cards without any aggression in our last match? We did & Dean Whitehead didnt even get booked! |

I was only half listening and can't be bothered to try again - did he just reference Nietzsche? 😂😂 I think he sounds fine. Alex Neil was a misery and SS was okay but reminded me of chatting to a random bloke in the pub about the game. This will be helpful for the guy trying to hone his Stoke managers impressions. my abiding memory of press conferences and how they relate to real life: Alex Neil -You're transferring through Birmingham via National Express and have 4 hours to kill in Digbeth Coach station. A random Scot sits by you with a Tesco carrier bag full of unwashed clothes and drones on for 2 hours about how the nearest offie is closed and the price of Heroin has skyrocketed. Occasionally mentions football but only to point out the error of your last question. Nathan Jones -You've been talked into going to your mates stag do in Cardiff but the venue was fully booked and fallen through, instead the you've switched to a working mens club in Merthyr. The local secondary school PE teacher has dropped a tab of billy whizz and sits next to you, telling you all about how he had trials for Benfica and how he is the fittest human being this side of Neath. Occasionally, he'll feel sick, I mean physically sick - he could be sick. Might chew his nails. Steven Schumacher - You're on an all dayer for the Grand National and get talking to a really sound top buzzing bloke in a Lime Street pub. He's full of beans , says deffo a lot and keeps trying to pass you one of his earbuds to listen to "Greatest Indie Hits of 1991" |

The more I listen to him the more I think he's full of shit and makes it up as he goes along.

I simply cannot see how he motivates his team - I watched 4 minutes and was bored. I don't know if it's me but he seems absolutely clueless and talks nonsense. The number of times he mentions aggression is bewildering and he lacks sincerity in the interview. Hopefully, I'm talking shite and he's great in the dressing room. Anyway, let's hope we get 3 points tonight. Bit harsh that considering he taught SS a footballing lesson when we played Norwich last season. We were completely outplayed from minute 1 |
