Would anyone ever appoint someone not skilled in the the job they are to take! Can you see the head of Microsoft appointing the tea boy cos he does a good brew and talks a good brew but knows nowt about the job he’s going to do! Shoot me down in flames but this has Chris kamara written allover it. 10 games and out! What We saw today after a fantastic weeks training was a shambles . Defensively poor, non existent midfield and no attacking intent whatsoever. Give me Pulis, allardyce or Martin oniell anyday over this bloke.

That's a very optimistic view of hiring practices in every other industry.

While there is a point in here, the way this squad is constructed means Pulis, Allardyce etc would not stand a chance. We are all in on a high press possession based style whether it’s this bloke or not

But you could guarantee an upturn in results. Looking at the bloke on the sideline s today he’s going to be eaten alive in this league.

A lot of people get put up for managerial jobs in business and industry who clearly haven’t got a clue what they’re doing. I’ve experienced it my entire working life.

I remember another manager saying steve( I’m fucking off) cottrill was the best talker when applying for jobs with his laptop and PowerPoints! How did that go?? 🤪

The match stats are pretty terrifying today.
50% possession but 26 shots to 7 in favour of Middlesboro and 9 shots on target to 1.
It's like we didn't belong on the same pitch.

Pelach being a manager is like letting the hospital porter perform brain surgery isn't it?

Boris Johnson was deemed to have the credentials to make decisions on behalf of an entire country. It means fuck all.
At least this guy has appropriate experience, and someone’s got to give him a chance. Might be a shame it’s us, might be master stroke. Thing is, no one knows yet.
The timing of the decision is poor, we can’t tell whether the appointment is a poor one yet though. Admittedly it hasn’t started great, but he does need the fairness of time. Which it seems a lot on here don’t want to give him.
Going back to managers like Pulis etc. is all well and good, until it becomes stale and fans want more, as what happened with us.
Problem is we have owners who have made consistently poor decisions for years and still the manager gets the stick. People need to wake up.

Pelach being a manager is like letting the hospital porter perform brain surgery isn't it? It’s not though is it. Everyone starts somewhere. He’s in the right trade for a start and appears to have good references. We’ve just given him a chance. It might prove a good decision it might prove a bad one. It’s genuinely too early to say. People need to lay off him a bit tbh.

Well technically both the porter and the brain surgeon are both in healthcare, plus any half decent yes man can get decent references, especially if the club he was previously at were only too happy to get him off their books. I get why we should give a manager some time, but he's a manager no-one wanted and considering the previous manager, who was almost universally popular amongst the fan base, was sacked off after winning 7 of his last 10, then 2 defeats where we have looked horrendous in every area when, theoretically, every player should be going above and beyond to sell themselves means that there's an expectation that we will take action if it's perceived that we are going backwards. Seeing as Narcis gives off yes man vibes, I won't hold my breath until we are cut adrift at the bottom of the league, and only to be replaced by another yes man who will fail to inspire anyone outside our boardroom.

I get your point, but feel you’ve been lucky in your jobs. What I’ve personally seen is people getting all friendly and moving on up, doesn’t always matter how skilled you are unfortunately. Hoping this guy comes through for us and is still settling in, worrying times though

I have only once experienced the opposite. He made my life miserable. After two years, so I told them to “to take their job and shove it” and started my own company. Never looked back. Those that “kiss up and kick down” are the worst - some get promoted because they tell bosses what they want to hear, some get found out and are fired - I have seen both. unfortunately “unless you’re the lead dog, the view is always the same”

I just hope this isn't in play here.

A very nice Cheshire hotel recently had a family friend put in charge with no experience at all. She literally ran the place into the ground
Happens in all walks
