Looks very attacking. Good luck to the lads tonight under the new boss. C’mon Stoke✊🏻

Exactly what I thought of Tchamadeu, there's not a great deal between then, but Dixon looks more composed!!! Yeah but Junior is much stronger and tougher. Well, whatever the side, let's hope Pelach gets off to a winning start!!!

We're really struggling for cover in the wide forward positions aren't we. Hopefully he'll bring Vidigal back from the dead. He’s still injured.

Good to see Thompson and Burger as two deeper-lying midfielders. I’m convinced that’s where we’ll see the best of Burger. Could also be 4-3-3 with Thommo as the DM, Burger as the box-to-box and Junho as the 10. I agree though that Thommo and Burger in a DM pivot makes the most sense. It’s just that Pélach has had so little time with the players to understand what works best. Hopefully he’s spent lots of time watching our games from this and last season.

I think, whilst the starting XI pretty much picks itself, it shows he has a good handle on our squad already. He said it in his interview which you take with a pinch of salt but he’s supposedly obsessive and analytical so perhaps he really is clued up. He also said he’s created a plan to suit what we have in terms of players. A shame to see Sidibe out of the XI but it’s 3 games in 6 days after he was involved in 3 games during the international break.

Will be interesting to see, that could easily be a 442, 4231, or a 433. Looks a balanced bench too, although who’s Chibueze?[/quote Youngster we had from Chelsea?

Can someone explain who this Chibueze is? What’s Rowett prattling on about on Sky. He seems to think Koumas is going to be the 10 instead. Not his best position surely.
