I genuinely can't get my head around the love in with this guy. Everytime I see him he offers nothing, I haven't seen every game granted, but he looks so poor when I see him play.

I’m a ST holder and think the fanbase as a whole has got far too excited over the lad. Sure there’s potential, and the patches of form he had last season were great but his assist and goal output are quite poor for a player in his position. I still think he’ll have been a good signing in a few years, but it’s not as definite as most think. Fingers crossed the new manager gets more out of him because he’s been woeful this season so far, albeit only a few games.

He’s the best player on the ball we’ve had since we got relegated … it’s not his fault players aren’t on the same wave length. And if they are the tactics weren’t right and set them up to fail.

Superb player, absolutely wonderful at times
However he has been really flat this season He probably needs a break
Wouldn't start him v Hull

Maybe he's coming out in sympathy for Son at Spurs who has been equally poor. 🤔

I’m not sure of the tone but I have said he flatters to deceive his final pass or end product have never really added any value .

Technically he’s superb, but he’s got no goalscoring instinct whatsoever. He good as he is, he’s playing in a position that demands goals and assists he’s simply not done that so far.

Maybe he looks worse than last season now he’s surrounded by other more dynamic players rather than Vidigal and Leris? Or maybe he’s still not back to full fitness. I don’t know which but he will come good again, that I’m sure about.

Start of last season I thought overrated then seemed to come on under SS. This season started off shite. So. Reserve judgement yet until I see improvement this season.

He is like most of our squad, has a decent amount of ability on the ball but unproven, needs to become stronger and deliver an end product, could be said for quite a few of them, time on his side.
What I struggle to understand is why we have shipped out Laurent, we really lack experience and strength and whilst he was often frustrating he had that and seemed well liked by the young lads.
It's a lot of pressure if a team lacks leaders for these players still learning and whilst I'm delighted we are playing them we still need a core if four or five tough established pros to bring them on. We have a few but all a bit injury prone and Pearson seems puddled so expectations need to be realistic.
The big worry is if the owner and DOF think this group are play off contenders The's season then it will be a struggle

Makes football look easy when he’s on it. Unfortunately this season he hasn’t been but he was injured over pre-season and is still on his way back as far I can see. He needs to play wide left and with freedom.

The lad missed the last 4/5 week of pre-season. He's a bit behind the rest. He's probably still not pushing himself due to the injury. Last night he looked a bit unfit and a bit low on confidence
He'll get there

But don't come on here all the time happy clapping and wanking over players who aren't performing. Have a nice day

Have a nice day For what it’s worth I think there are genuine questions to be asked about his end product and general influence on the game. He’s a lad still learning the game , he’s probably completely knackered and let’s be on honest - some of the supporter base have gone rather OTT about his abilities.

Excellent ball control, and undoubtedly full of talent. However he is guilty of letting games just pass him by. I suppose that’s down to finding a position/system that suits him. At present he’s poor and doesn’t warrant a place in the starting line up, he needs to get fully fit and work on his end product. You could say over the last few games he’s looked like the typical definition of a “luxury player” I’ve no doubt he’ll soon be back to our best player alongside manhoof Let’s not forget he’s a young lad and still finding his way in the game

Narcis will either quickly rejuvenate him motivationally or take him out of the firing line for a few games as sub?

I’m not sure of the tone but I have said he flatters to deceive his final pass or end product have never really added any value . He’s definitely out of form currently. He’s consistently under hitting passes. I’m sure he’ll improve but would bench him for a couple of games.

He'll leave the club and discover his true potential. Don't know what it is but we just don't seem to be able to create the environment for players to thrive. Josh Maja is a beast now for West Brom, Alfie Doughty couldnt get in our side and was the best player in the relegated Luton side, there are other examples.

Don't forget he's a 20 year old lad who's still learning his trade. Played close to 70 games last year.

Just love (not in a gay way!) this lad. For a 20 year old to travel and live half way across the world from his home, away from his family and friends I think he deserves a medal. Agree he’s out of form at the moment but we’ve seen more than enough from him to know the boy’s a class act. Maybe a short spell on the sidelines, away from the pressures, would do him the world of good and I’m convinced he’d come back fitter, stronger and mentally refreshed. Hope he’s a mainstay of the team for many years to come.

During Fleetwood, there were periods where a certain lack of involvement was taking place. Got great skills, but more effort needed. Also needs to look for the pass much earlier. I'm hoping Nancy has got what it takes to bring it out of him.
