For me, it's all well and good when people say that Walters knows what it takes to play for Stoke and to go up and get the DNA we need. Getting others such as Lawrence, Fuller, Shawcross, Whelan in a sort of 'getting the band back together'. However, Football is different now than when these guys were so successful for us. Essentially, Walters is living in the past. Sacking Schumacher, in my view, is a terrible decision and one that will go on to haunt us. He is a bright young manager, makes mistakes, of course but ultimately, he would have improved us over time. Now, we are going to appoint some unknown first team coach who is going to better than Schumacher?
Absolute crap. Dreadful decision. I feel sorry for Schumacher and I wish him all the best. As for us. I think we are in for a relegation fight that will finally catch up with us. I think Walters is out of his depth, and I love the fella. But this is a huge mistake.

If you think I'm reading all that because you thought you were important enough to have your own thread on the matter then you're bang wrong.

He may well have "improved us over time" but how long? We as Stoke supporters are desperate to see an improvement on the pitch, maybe Pelach can be that man, who knows but so far it's been rinse and repeat since we were relegated so a foreign manager with new and different ideas may work. I liked Shuey but he did make some really poor decisions and was at times very naïve, I was really hoping he cold have taken us up the league this season and pushed for at least a play-off position but early signs weren't promising and another season in the doldrums of the championship seemed to beckon. Gouranga.
