I suppose we don't know what knocks Moran and Koumas are carrying. Gooch will have been training with the bulk of that team over the last couple of weeks so hopefully they're well drilled. Koumas for Gooch would hopefully be the first change if things need changing.

Young team and away match, so playing Gooch could be a smart decision. His experience is needed and we have Koumas on the bench raring to go if necessary.

looks a good team, but cant help feeling dissapointed.
possibly resting Koumas and Moran cause of knocks in midweek?
would have liked to see Phillips instead of wilmot.

Schumacher gets to see how players are performing in training and if he's a decent manager keeps an open mind on what his best team for the match in hand. We only get to remember their last performance and pick random teams based on our prejudices and limited knowledge. And of course we are right and he is wrong. |

The team formation pic from the OP shows that Gooch is actually in Moran’s 10 position. I do think it’s more likely Gooch will play the way you’ve just suggested rather than trying to support the front three. |

It's a long season and we've got a run of 2 game weeks imminent so don't mind Koumas and Moran benched if they aren't 100 %.Thought Phillips did enough in the 2 he started to keep his place though.
Talking of the bench that's the strongest it's been for donkey's, with Gallagher and Stevens due back soon as well.
