A new one I quite like, for when an attacking player rinses a defender is "he sent him to the shadow realm" which my nipper used last Saturday, although it hasn't caught on with any commentators because they wouldn't know what the hell it refers to. At least its modern parlance with a contemporary reference point, unlike imperial coinage, Roy of the Rovers et al. My lad says this one aswell and when he first said it I said 'sent him where mucker?' |
