Great person, just so very nearly got us to semi-finals. If we were decent at penalties, his life would have been so much different. RIP Sven.

Top man
Should have won something with that England team mind, think had they beatwn Brazil in Korea they would have won the WC in 2002
Still some of the best England memories I have though, that 5-1 drilling of Germany in 2001 was insane, and I was at Old Trafford behind the goal for Becks free kick v Greece.
Lovely bloke, funny, intelligent, didnt take it too seriously.
RIP Sven.

Rest well, Sven.
That night in Munich in 2001 will always stay with me. I remember watching the game with my Grandad, who got so excited by the goals, he almost back flipped out of his rocking chair! 🤣
But seriously, a modest man and a gentleman who faced his demise with bravery and dignity.

I really liked Sven.
Most people did, so much so he never really got a hard time for that 'shagathon' he suddenly and unexpectedly launched himself on. From memory it included Nancy Del'Ollio (lawyer to the stars), Ulrika Jonsonn (weather girl) and Faria Alam at the Football Association.
Excellent manager, nice man.
RIP Sven

People overlook how Sven transformed the England team. After Keegan Wilkinson was caretaker for a game and said publicly, he felt qualification for 2002 was beyond us. Sven brought fresh thought, and overall, the players responded positively. It's an aspect of England that some great things get overlooked. Argentina were justifiably joint favourites going into the 2002 world cup and we deservedly beat them. A severely underrated result.

Sad news.
When it all boils down to it, he loved football, women and probably a beer or wine. A thoroughly decent chap. RIP Sven !

Rip Svennis!
Glenn Stromberg, former Swedish midfielder (IFK Gothenburg, Benfica, Atalanta) and on National level held a great tribute speech about Sven-Göran Eriksson and all he achieved with IFK Gothenburg, Benfica, Lazio, England.
He said he had guts and that he formed Glenn's whole life. It began with him believing in Glenn even though he was injured at the time at 19. Later in the career Glenn played for Atalanta and stayed in Italy, fourty years now.
