Again I thought he showed some good touches on the ball when he came on, especially when he turned with his back to goal and sprayed it out to creswell on the left. If only he could last longer...

not a big fan of Parkin but he showed some very good touches today, as he has the last 3 or 4 home games. Wouldn't want him to start as I think Sidibe is a necessity as he does a lot of hard graft and takes it off our more prolific players. Parkin though does look a dangerous player

Parkin deffo has a footballing brain, but is unfortunately let down by his fitness. Great view and some superb passes, but he need to lose a stone or two.

I actually think he looks a bit fitter.................just a bit mind ;D
He certainly kept up when Fuller went through and probably should have squared the ball to him, for a tap-in.

He's certainly fitter. However I think you're looking at another several months to shift even more weight and therefore get even fitter. He may never be somesort of flying forward though?

I like him-he has a great touch and vision and finishing ability. Need fitness but I think the size is he now is ok. I don't think he's fat-he's just a fucking big bloke.

Despite his obvious skills I think he's just too naturally big to be a footballer. I'm not sure the last time a saw a striker so big.

The problem is with them, due to his height you just assume he will be a target man. So from goal kicks, Simmo hoofs it up to him, and he continually backs into opposition defenders.
If we get the right signings in Jan, though, I can see him being influential.

Certainly has an eye for a pass and seems to do it without even so much as thinking let alone looking.
Could certainly see him in a midfield playmaker role sometime during the latter part of season if we do not manage to entice one to our club in this coming January transfer window.

Parkin can certainly spot a good pass, far more than anyone else in the current side and has improved his off ball running, though still cannot head / jump. Compare to mama who can head / jump all day long but crap at passing / shooting. Ideally we should merge the 2 of them into 1 top player. The mind boggles. (Wildebeest ?)

You'd have to be careful if you put both of them in a 'Fly' transporter thing, instead of the superstriker, 'Sidibeast', you could get the immobile, goal shy benchwarmer 'Peedie'

with parkin as we did last season you have got to give him the ball to his feet and play him higher up the pitch if we can get him some service down the flanks I'm sure he'll be a banging em in and offer something different but until we stop lumping the ball up to him hes always gonna look a c##t

I haven't written him off. He does look fitter and he has the best touch on the ball of any of the squad. Big Rob (Oatie name) who sits in front of me, made me laugh on Sunday. Parkin had just laid on a superb pass to Lawrence and I said that there was an excellent footballer inside Parkin somewhere. Rob said quick as a flash "there are probably two or three in there." ;D

Well i think he's ace. Play him regular and he'll get fit. Cat amongst pigeons time, play him and Cressy up front. Drop Fuller for a game or two, it'll do him the power of good. And Drop Mama just because. ;D

I saw Parkin quite close up when I was getting my tickets for the Castle game. The thing is, he is not fat! No way. He is a big guy with a big frame but he aint fat.
