I reckon this young man can become a rare gem once he really settles in. He's already looking the real thing.

It explains why he took him off. It doesn't address why he didn't replace him with Sidibe or Thompson. The balance shifted after the sub. Left us light in midfield. I think people are over playing this shifting balance thing, we actually had a couple of good opportunities to attack between him going off and them scoring, and ultimately what got them back in the game was a freak own goal. We won the game which was ultimately the aim….. Agree. I was as confused as most by the sub coming on but was happy that we appeared to be going for more goals rather than trying to shut up shop with the introduction of Thompson(which we are historically crap at). I think some posters are using it as a stick to beat the new manager with just like some are using the OG as a stick to beat the escapegoat with rather than their favourite who was the one actually at fault. It's the way it goes on here. PS I was very impressed with Seko and thought it was the right decision to take him off.

Wonder if we’ll see a future call up to the national team if he carrys on improving There's no reason why he can't push on to that level, but he's probably a couple of years behind someone like Ao Tanaka at Leeds.

He’s 26 so it’s not like he’s in Bae’s position where he’s starting out. Showing it in the championship regularly should get him in and around the squad anyway.

Seko Seko Sekoooo Seko To the tune of BIKO, by Peter Gabriel
Followed by the chorus.....OH, OH, OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH, OH.
The whole stadium singing that together would be absolutely magic!!

I’m hoping he can sustain the levels we’ve seen. Quite often a player looks brilliant in his first few games then tails off.
Mmaaee….Vidigal….and plenty more from recent and distant history.
Hopefully this lad is the real deal.

You could also see Vidigal was criminally slow and limited. I guess he's just proof everyone has a purple patch 🤷🏻♂️

A better comparison by position would be Ryan Woods. I was convinced he was a Premier league player in the making after three games and then ....
Good luck Seko.

Seko seems to have the energy to get about the pitch real well. Something Woods (and too many others of our central midfielders) can’t/couldn’t do. I don’t want to big him up too much this early on as there’s still a lot to be found out but I’m just happy to have someone who doesn’t shy away from the ball and has the ability to get cover the ground required.

Ao Tanaka at Leeds and Kaoru Mitoma at Brighton were ex team mates of his, hopefully he is in contact with them to help him along settling in here in the UK.

I’d like to see him take a shot on more, a few times he’s opted for the cute pass instead of twatting it in the top corner from 20 yards. Looks a real good proactive footballer though.

On the few occasions when he has shot he appears to have been channelling his inner Jordan Thompson, so maybe for the sake of the fans in Row 34, it is for the best that he doesn't shoot more often.

Looks a very good player for dictating play, not sure how good he is defensively though. Good addition.

How much did we pay for him? And do we assume his wages are fairly low?
He looks a very tidy player. He does play in that role where it is sometimes easy to look good (think how good we thought Ryan Woods was in the first few games) as it's about doing the seemingly simple things well, but he looks solid and assured with a decent range of passing.
Hopefully he keeps it up. He certainly plays in a way that no other midfielder at the club does, which gives us options from a tactical point of view.

He often works as the pivot and he seems to be good at doing that. The difference between him and Woods, I would say, is that he looks for (and sometimes finds) a decisive forward ball.

I like the seko lad, he seems to have a good footballing brain for his age He’s nearly 27, pretty much in his prime. Which is a shame as as good as he’s been he’s not going to have as much resale value as a younger player putting in the same performances would.
