Sounds too detailed to be bullshit. Normally they just bat those questions away when there's more to it (I.e. a pending transfer). Possibly both genuinely missed out due to fitness issues. Unless he's a pathological liar. The Vidigal one potentially sounds like bollocks from the player's side, but he looked happy enough on Saturday and has done well in preseason.

Vidigal has a sore foot now.
He's a bloody footballer maybe he should pick another sport.
He's never gonna make the grade in England

Not in the squad tonight. What’s in store for these two I wonder. Rested or on their way out? On their way out …… to ……. Where? Not going to be too many takers I would have thought?

See my post above just listened to Schumacher interview. Well he’s not going to say they are going is he. True but he went into a lot of detail. Contrast with Mmaee last season, first time he was left out and Schumacher just said "Not available," when asked. I for one believe what he was saying about Mmaee at least - on the bench on Saturday so that if we needed a goal he could come on for just ten minutes at the end, but stayed at Stoke today for intensive training days on Monday and Tuesday, rest day today, then back in Thursday for two more intensive days then we'll see next week. Seems very plausible and planned.

I am sure many of us would possibly do similar if we were angry about someone - it seems that if you fall out with a friend the first thing you do these days is block them on social media. After a day thinking about it everything's back to normal. At least that's what happens in my daughter's world. I think Vidigal is very keen to stay here and has tried hard over the summer and you have to admit Saturday was a kick in the teeth for him - a right back picked ahead of him and not even brought on. Having said that the explanation was probably the injury and a very thin squad meaning he was needed on the bench in case.

Both injured according to Schumacher. Vidigal sore foot mmaaee still on his rehabilitation, Vidigal picking up his injury in the open training session but both were on bench last Saturday as we were that short. Didn't Leris give him a few kicks during the open training session..

You don't have any information as to say what condition he's in other than that the manager has said he's injured and probably wasn't worth risking against a league 2 side in the cup.

Another indication that Jared’s flashy spreadsheets and databases might not always translate onto grass….
….Leris Vidigal Jojic and Mmaee all look like ending up on the return to sender pile.

Player trading balance on the players he identified will be what counts. Lost nothing on Leris, can only lose €500,000 max on Vidigal, €1M on Jojic, €2M on Mmaee. Compared to potential profits it’s absolute peanuts. I’m absolutely certain the new regime won’t be short of failures given time to evaluate their business. That’s got nothing to do with whether they’re bad or good it’s just that there has never been a regime at any highish profile club that didn’t have a pretty high %age failure rate. Over 50% success rate on deals is exceptional.

My issue is with depicting him as some kind of Uber Scout with mystical powers while Darnborough is the scouting equivalent of Darth Vader.

Well if you want to believe he deleted his profile just because he was in one that day, then fair enough. I was just pointing out it's probably something business/profession linked, however small-time he might be. Might even be an agency change.

It’s not uncommon for players to let family members hold the rights as a way to make money for them. Deals have fallen through because of the cost of securing image rights and it’s not just the big name players it happens with.

"Feel the dong, Tom!". But his failure was the character bit, so that sounds more like Dublin than JW/Darnborough.

Aren’t sure if already posted or not , but SS doesn’t rate Mmaee at all and is more like pulis than his play style suggests if you get what I mean 😜
Also vidigal trying for a move elsewhere however has been told to knuckle down and move in Jan , unless we sign someone to replace like for like which is very unlikely as main target is striker to replace the above
Looking for loan to permanent options for Mmaee

I am surprised Andre Vidigal’s image rights are worth anything at all. Having said that I admit I know nothing about how these things work these days. He does seem a popular guy with the youngsters whenever I see him outside a ground so maybe he is able to monetarise his minor celebrity.
