The Championship is a league where any team can beat another, don’t think either one of those sides tonight looked world beaters, but it’s early days.
It’s a long season and with Stoke being 20-1 who knows if we have a good window.

Someone on here used the.. they were going to rip us apart line, yep and they seemed to think was just a case of turning up on their forum. Personally would have been disappointed with a draw before the game as we seem to have actually found a way to perform at home and let's be honest, Coventry are not exactly a side who you worry about playing . Is that 3 wins, 8 scored, none conceded at home or have I missed a game or 2 out ? |

Whilst this is true and it’s rare for there to be a team in this league that is just light years ahead of everyone else (eg even Leicester last year won the title despite losing nearly 25% of their games!) I do think Burnley are surely going to be there or thereabouts. The way they were able to easily circumvent the Luton press is something that most teams in this division won’t have the abundance of quality to achieve. It’s also why I posted above saying that I think Luton will be pushing for playoffs at least; because they have an athletic team that are capable of pressing (especially at home) and a big chunk of this league will be suffocated by them. Burnley are one of the few (perhaps the only one) that will be able to exploit it in the manner they did last night. |
