should it have been an indirect free kick? foul was given for elbow in back , obstruction? Nope, it shouldn't have been any type of free kick, as no foul was committed. The ref has had an absolute mare and denied one of the goals of the season. Don’t exaggerate, it was a clever finish. One of the goals of the season is a bit extreme.

The original free kick was given for the foul on Wharton, an elbow in the back which Eze took.

It's strange, only yesterday, I was thinking that you hardly see indirect free kicks awarded anymore. It's almost like obstruction is a thing of the past.

I've never been so ambivalent towards the start of a Premier League. Flicked on Ipswich Liverpool saw it was 0-2 and switched it off. Flicked it on Sunday afternoon and as saw it was Brentford Palace switched it off. Chelsea Man City was on for a spell in the background but didn't pay any deal of attention to it.

Hopefully tonight's game will be better, but equally it could be 4-0 Tottenham by half time. And, sorry, as good as Man City are, it's just boring now as a neutral. Sack Pep, get relegated and stop winning everything.

It's just so shit to watch.

Hoping Solanke gets off to a flyer this season, he could be the answer to Englands dearth of strikers. I like him

Good beard He has been at Chelsea and Liverpool as I’m sure you know. He scored 1 in 21 appearances for Liverpool and that was enough to get him in the England team. The mind boggles. But he’s a totally different proposition these days. Great touch, pacy and good finisher

Same as last season. Spurs make dozens of chances but a lack of ruthlessness hinders them.
