Is it possible to circumvent those rules if a player has been in the UK for a while? Looks like he joined Watford in 2019 before moving to Celtic. It might be that he’s eligible for British citizenship by now, which might be a way around it? it's not about the player, won't make any difference if he's a UK citizen or not it's an international transfer as two clubs in two countries (Scotland is a foreign country as far as football is concerned) so will need international clearance I thought that this wasn’t a straightforward deal due to different football associations, just look at the Olympics and we can’t have a team representative ? It was that I doubted he might not be able to make his debut against Coventry which may be the case, just one last point you might be able to clear up, As now being classed as British do we need a permit to work in the European Union ? And if so would that also apply for a European wanting to come and work in Britain ? |

Looks like a really good piece of business for a change. Extremely highly rated by Rodgers and Charlie Adam it seems, lets hope it can get done in time for the game tomorrow. imo of the 5 signings (including Lawal) 4 are good business/very good business Gallagher looks a bad deal but we will see So now I assume we've got 4 duds and Gallagher will be a legend 😀 |
