www.footballscotland.co.uk/spfl/scottish-premiership/bosun-lawal-stoke-city-transfer-29707789Bosun Lawal is scheduled to undergo his medical this afternoon to become Stoke City's new Β£2million signing, Football Scotland can reveal. The Celtic youngster had a strong pre-season with the Hoops but when an offer arrived from the Potters it was accepted by the club. The Irishman, 21, will become a new Stoke City signing over the coming weekend with the move believed to be imminent. Football Scotland understands it will be a three-year deal the former Watford starlet signs at the Bet365 Stadium. Lawal enjoyed a loan stint with Fleetwood Town last season and played in the midfield and had hoped he might be given the chance at Parkhead to break into the first-team more often this term. But the fee tabled by Steven Schumacher's side was too good to turn down. Football Scotland understands the fee could increase and get closer to the Β£3million mark with add-ons and extras should certain criteria be met by the player and club as part of his deal.

Sounds like a steal if he turns out to be as good as talked about.

Permanent.. not sure I'd be spending that money on that position π€·π»ββοΈ The midfield (if he sticks with 433) needs two new first teamers including a DM. This bloke looks ideal for that.

x.com/jkanalysis7/status/1798733578349785332As I stated before, the first half of the season, he played as part of a back 5, either playing as a wing back or wide centre half. However, this all changed when Charlie Adam became the manager in January. His appointment led to a few changes, one of them being Lawal converting into a box-to-box midfielder, replacing Brendan Wiredu who would shift to Centre half. Wiredu was normally the holding midfielder in a midfield 3, maintaining the 4-3-3 formation that Lee Johnson had. To swap with Wiredu & play a more advanced position, it took quite some doing. Players need a lot of time to adapt to a new manager & position change. Bosun had both and really showed his talent. I want him. Now. Now. Now.

Why are Celtic letting him go? You would think that 2-3 million is alot for them to turn down mate.

This lad has game changer written all over him.
The type of player we desperately need and the sort to get the B365 rocking again.
Watch this and salivate.

Why are Celtic letting him go? As said above they have plenty of options in that area and are trying to generate funds for Adam Idah if reports are anything to go by

Iβm sure Walters would have had a word with Charlie Adam about Lawal Charlie probably recommended him. As he did with Andy Robertson from Hull years ago.

Since the first mention of this lad I really hoped we would sign him, delighted it looks to be happening.
Adds much needed physicality to our midfield, when was the last time we had a proper strong DM/CM?

Clearly a signing that Walters has sorted out with the help and advice from Adam... π

Really keen to sign Lawal.
Looks to have the lot, also looks like he would fit into a Schumacher team perfectly.
With the option of playing CB and CM we possibly donβt need to sign as many players.

Hopefully they push this transfer through asap so he can play tomorrow. We need him. Highly doubt he will be available tomorrow. Cut off point is in half an hour. Only way they can possibly do that is if he have been in talks since yesterday and they do the medical after π€·π»ββοΈ
