And still pretty much 'how long is a piece of string' with Lawal? If he's playing in a month we're doing well.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-injury-sam-gallagher-9630129Sam Gallagher is expected to miss Stoke City’s return to action this weekend as he continues to be assessed by the medical team. It is likely to be next week – after a Championship clash with Norwich on Saturday (3pm) – before scans can give a clear picture. Lynden Gooch’s prognosis is far better than initial fears.......he is working towards a comeback late next month. Bosun Lawal is understood to be champing at the bit to be involved, waiting for the green light to join in training I don't believe that our medical team do not have "a clear picture" of his injury, no results from a scan?? So what have they been doing for the last 9 days?? I am not a doctor but scan and results for a footy player a day or so?? I smell horseshit and JW not wanting to give us the negative news. Laughed out loud when I read that. Sounds like they must have run out of developing fluid for the scan!!!!!

Gallagher and Lawal. Signings for 2 key positions. Not a great look for the transfer team.

Players are nancies these days!!!
When I were a kid, there only used to be one sub, and if a player got injured AFTER the sub had already been used, they'd just have to get up and get on with it...... And if it was fatal, they'd be put in goal!!! 🤔

Didn't Denis Herod break his arm in a match? No subs then so he went on the wing.

The way they're talking, it does look like it's going to be months. They must know by now that it's not a minor one.
But 3 months is pretty much complete tear territory, isn't it - pretty much as bad as it gets? And it didn't appear that bad, so it would be a surprise, but everything about the way they're talking suggests it's bad

Bizarre.

Any news update on Lawal and Gallagher? Is Sol injured? Sol played for england U18's last week, in a tournament in Spain, as did Dixon, so probably rested.

Joey Harper who was record goal scorer but a piss head becoming increasingly injury prone and was promptly out of the team to be replaced by Mark McGhee from Newcastle.
