Don't think he is eligible is he? SS said that he was playing tomorrow for 45 minutes for the academy squad.

Mmaee. Rose. Stevens. Gallagher. Lawal. Vidigal. Bonham. Pearson. That's quite an injury list this earl in the season. Gouranga. Cast your mind back (if you're old enough) to the sixties and seventies when an "injury" was a broken leg or a knee cartridge.😄 I'm not old enough Gouranga.

Just get the sense it's at least a month? He even suggested some clubs would have maybe looked to have second thoughts about the deal, but we're looking long-term. Both he and Schuey have used "a few weeks", but they said the same for Gallagher, who it now seems is looking at a couple of months.

No one has said what this ‘minor issue’ is. Is it muscular, or something more serious? I have a bad feeling it’s going to be one of them where we’re still saying ‘a couple of weeks’ in 2-3 months.

Wouldn't surprise me if Stoke sign a 25 goals a season striker, but has a broken leg & will be out for 18 months to 2 years, because he is one for the future.

Same, makes me wonder if it’s something heart related as SJW says Celtic didn’t know about it and maybe he needs a small procedure to sort it out. I feel like if it was a muscle injury they would just say?

Lawal, nothing major, but about 6 weeks out. Probably not see him before late September is my guess, once he's got match fit and settled at the club.

Hope to be proved wrong but Gallagher looking a really poor signing - his injury record got worse every season at Blackburn and now he’s out for two months after not even managing 30 minutes in pre-season for us.

I do get all this signing players for their potential and for their potential once over an injury for eg but we need players who can hit the ground running right now, not in a month or so's time.. Signing players who aren't fit or ready for action now, means we'll be keeping our fringe players who could be sold to make much needed space and bring some £'s in for us. Shuey & SJW have repeatedly said we need to build a more quality but sustainable squad with a smaller pool of players to pick from, but if anything seems like we're simply stocking up on numbers as so many are already missing & the seasons barely underway! Trying not to get to alarmed by the situation but it will quickly become a concern & before we know it the window will be closed and we'll be fast approaching the Autumn with a bloated & disjointed squad... Again!!

Has there been any time frame for Lawal yet? Or do we even know what the injury is?

Has it actually been disclosed what the issue is with Lawal?. I know it said the medical showed up something, but I can't remember anyone saying what is up and time scale?

So after the international break could we be down to Pearson, Laval and Gallagher?

All depends on the next scan for Lawal this coming week doesn't it? All clear then he gets to step up his training and he might be back sooner than you think. Back injuries are difficult to predict though, unfortunately.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-oxford-injury-news-9549603Stoke City are taking a check on Andrew Moran ahead of this weekend’s trip to Oxford United after he returned back from international duty carrying a minor knock. Lewis Koumas, Million Manhoef, Sol Sidibe, Jaden Dixon, Emre Tezgel, Ashley Phillips and Viktor Johansson have all reported back fine, however Michael Rose (ankle), Enda Stevens (calf) and Jordan Thompson (calf) come back into the squad after injury while Tom Cannon and Tatsuki Seko, who got the green light on his visa last week, are available for the first time after joining on deadline day. “Sam Gallagher is progressing really well. He’s not far away from joining in training in the main group"

Can’t imagine Rose or Stevens will be involved this weekend anyway but perfect timing to give them starts against Fleetwood.
Thompson will probably start against Oxford
