I'm well aware trump is full of shit however he has been on record several times distancing himself from project 25. So is it really to be classed as his manifesto?

I'm well aware trump is full of shit however he has been on record several times distancing himself from project 25. So is it really to be classed as his manifesto? You believe Trump? ๐ ๐ ๐ Seriously? Do you think he's gonna release his tax returns this time? ๐ ๐ ๐ Come on Mickey I know you're a skeptical sort. Trump is the most extreme liar in US politics, do you honestly just believe what he's saying to get elected? Project 2025 is from Kevin Roberts' Heritage Foundation. In 2022, Trump gave a speech at the Heritage Foundation and said of Roberts "I know what he did and where he came from, and he's going to be outstanding". Now Trump says "I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it". Do you really believe Trump is being honest about not knowing the people he's repeatedly met and given speeches about?

Trump also says he isn't a sex pest, that he didn't pay off Stormy Daniels, and that he didn't start the march on the Capital Building. Everything he says should be take with salt. It's a murky picture. The Heritage Foundation (which authored Project 25) employs many people closely aligned with Trump, including members of his 2017โ2021 administration, and coordinates the initiative with conservative groups run by Trump allies. Trump campaign officials have had regular contact with Project 2025, and told Politico in 2023 that the project aligned well with their Agenda 47 program, though they have since said that it does not speak for Trump or his campaign. Sort of a "yes it is, but not it isn't" sort of answer.

A lot more than the useless Democrats. Here's an example of the sort of thing I'm asking for, where I think the president is relevant and deserves credit or blame. Today the Federal Trade Commission finalised rules on "click to cancel". Should we have the right to see important facts about a service before signing up? Should we have the right to cancel as easily as we signed up? The vote was 3-2 with Democrats saying yes and Republicans no. This only happened because Biden beat Trump in 2020, so he gets credit (my opinion) or blame (the Republican opinion). Years ago I wanted to cancel my internet but I could only do that by calling them up and being put on hold a bunch as different salespeople kept offering me things and making me confirm I rejected all these terms. It took an hour.

But I'm sure Trump will say he doesn't know who JD Vance is and Trump fans will choose to believe they don't know who Vance is either, while it's convenient.

Crash and burn on Fox News. She looks genuinely angry that someone has the audacity to question her. Her team must regret setting that up. So much joy though, remember!

A lot more than the useless Democrats. Another example of a policy where Kamala and Trump differ - " net neutrality" (more here). Many Americans only have one choice for internet, the provider is called an "ISP". Among other things, net neutrality means your ISP can't control your internet speed based on what you're looking at. It's like if Tesco owned all the roads and if you wanted to go to Aldi, they could force you to stick to a 5 mph speed limit. Or even block the roads to Aldi unless Aldi paid up. Under Trump, ISP lawyer Ajit Pai took over the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and stripped away net neutrality. Under Biden, the FCC restored net neutrality. This is another thing where Trump and Biden get credit or blame - whether you give them credit depends on where you fall on believing "more corporate power is good" (Trump) versus "free internet and competitive markets are good" (Biden/Harris).

Typical right wing tricks, promise freedom with words then take it away with actions, twas ever thus.

Has she been drinking? Sheโs talking like itโs the end of a nights heavy drinking and sheโs getting emotional.

She's nuts isn't she. Easily the worst Presidential candidate in US history. I'd suggest that David Duke was considerably worse And I can think of quite a few Presidents that were worse Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Herbert Hoover, Warren Harding the current President Elect.

And evidently from other reactions I've heard, they haven't learnt anything at all. The good news for them is at least they won't have to face up to him at the next election. What they do need to do however is pick a candidate who can at least score a point in the next round of primaries. That'd be a start ๐

If he has a preferred candidate and bankrolls a campaign then he could have the โdisruptiveโ effect on politics that modern business โleadersโ (Mendicant is hammering the quote key today) seem to aspire to. Tesla could turn into a big political cash cow.

Seen clips of her and she seems to talk a good game that seems to align with Trump. Definitely right of centre anyway. She might well appeal strongly to this current Republican base. Very young though.
