No movement from Tezgel. Doesn't get across his man or make himself available. Needs to improve that part of his game I know he's young but if he's going to break into the side he has to be better there. Good scuffle here ...pile on I thought he dropped into the space well first half which opened the space up for manhoef, good one touch passes as well to be fair. Lacks a bit of pace but he’s a clever player and hopefully improves this year either coming off the bench for us or a loan to a league 1 club. |

Very dominant first half without scoring enough goals. Controlled the game in the beginning of the second half too, but with all the changes we let them into the game. Just a friendly so important that so many as possible get some minutes under the belt.  |

First half was very encouraging, we got the press spot on and moved the ball quickly and accurately, just let down by a lack of quality in the final third.
Second half was extremely scrappy, not helped by an appalling ref who managed to lose control of a pre-season friendly by refusing to blow for anything.
Thought Tezgel stood out like a saw thumb unfortunately, just doesn’t look anywhere near ready for this level. We’re in desperate need of a quality forward .

Advanced midfield is all wrong. Burger is an exceptional player in the first two thirds of the pitch and to call him bang average in the final third is being kind. Similar for Laurent but he isn't exceptional at either. We won't play the type of football that excited us all at the end of last season with that type of player in advanced midfield positions. |
