Why do you need to read reports this is a player we've been in opposition to many times and he's always looked like and English type CF. His performances certainly weren't memorable enough for me to remember - and several of his previous managers are on the record as saying thy see him as better wide. Doesn't strike me as an old school, back-to-goal No.9. Can't see him playing wide for us Grapey. Has to be the focal point of attack, surely?

Don't mind him to be honest
He's not an out and out striker but a good player .

I’m alright with this…as a few have already said he seems to be a good foil for the players around him, he’ll do for me along with a good loan👍🏻🔴⚪️

The fact no one else in the league is competing for his signature tells you what you need to know.
And we're going spunk 1.5m on him.
Reckon Stoke will ever learn

This is like having Lasagne for tea. Nothing inherently wrong with it but it doesn’t get your tastebuds erect does it. When you have the leftovers for breakfast though. Scintillating stuff.

Screams of Walters transfer regime 'knows the league' 'works hard' 'limited ability' 'no sell on potential' 'high wages' weve done 360 and reverted back to what worked so well for the past 5 years. Whereas last year we would have been the ones in for Makhtar Gueye..... 'decent scoring record abroad' 'good age' 'exciting potential' 'potential high sell on'
Ok it was high risk and not all come off but how much more exciting was life with the likes of Junho, Maee, Burger all rocked up. Its just all thoroughly boring and pretty down right depressing now.
Can anyone really say they're excited by the prospects of Gallagher and Wintle rocking up

You have to be realistic and it's weird really. It's a lot of money for him yet at the same time it's not a lot of money for a forward in this league. It's 1M less than what we paid for Jacob Brown years ago so like with Leris, you have to temper your expectations on what we're going to see from him.
At the end of the day, 1.5M at this level just buys you a warm body to throw at the problem and hope it sticks. I'm disappointed it's come to this but there you go.
It's really underwhelming but it is what it is and we'll support him no doubt.
It's frustrating seeing 500k on Ennis, 1.5M on Gallagher and another 1M on Gooch. It's dead money ultimately but I suppose it's not our money.

There’s time for this to be proven not the case but it reeks of magnolia this one does.

He's been playing in either 2:1 or 1:2 attacking formations. They're expressed like that and not a 3 specifically because they are narrower. ie why 4411 is/was not expressed as 442.

Not read anything to suggest Baker going the other way as part of the deal

I’m an occasional poster on a Blackburn board, thought I’d have a quick gander over there - this is the very first comment I set eyes on:
Like Sam Gallagher for example; A bloke who i've seen him play so many many times, and I can safely say that he is absolutely, incredibly gash. Finally he looks to be on his way out, good riddance!“

Give the guy a chance first. At 6 foot 4 he might actually win a header in the opposing 6 yard box. That would b an improvement.

I think he's almost perfect - Momo was wank on the face of it but he created space for Fuller, Lawrence and Creswell to exploit.

Did anyone expect anything different than resorting back to the dark ages ? That's the direction Dublin was told and is why he got sacked.
JD fell out with SS over his directed signings ( Cundle, Ennis ect ) in January.

I’d be happy for him to score 9 and be a great foil for the likes of Bae and Manhoef…his game is a lot more than scoring goals, he’s an out and out target man for one and one we haven’t got, like I’ve said provided we get a good loan signing I’m happy🔴⚪️
