Dykes is fucking woeful so that’s damning. Gallaghers a far better player than Dykes. If he’s a better CF than Dykes he’ll be a welcome if unexciting addition. I’m sort of getting the picture now. It’s not the players some people just don’t like or want proper CF’s. |

Watch him a lot do you?? I watch him when he plays against Stoke and he scored a beautiful CF’s goal vs us last season and had a very good game in general. He’s a fucking cart horse (both of them). Bayern has spoken FFS. |

Think we need to realize where we are at the moment. We are a team that have been fighting to avoid relegation for most of the time after we were relegated from the PL. We can't throw big money around as we did in the first season anymore, but need to be more clever in our dealings. We won't be able to attract players of the ability we really would like because of this. Then we have to look for players that can take us a bit further than last season even if we ideally would like better.  |

Even though we pay really good wages, we are a team that’s struggled year in, year out in the Championship which is going to lessen our hand in signing the type of striker we need unless we take a gamble on someone making headlines in the lower leagues or drop on with someone playing reserve team football in the Premier League.
Maybe Gallagher is the type of signing that we need that takes us to the next level in the Championship that will eventually put us in a position where we can sign that striker we want.’

I think he can do a good job creating space for others , and gives a presence up front and will stretch defences , others will need to step up and score more , that's down to hard work with the coaching team Mmaee, Tezegel, Jun Ho Vidigal could all benfit from playing with this type of player and should all be able to take chances

I don't recall watching Stoke play many teams who didn't have that sort of option whether they were on the pitch or not. |

Just read that Blackburn value Gallagher at £1.5million. That has to be a complete joke surely. If we have that much to spend, there has to be better options, who are younger, have a future value and actually score goals at a decent rate. Will we ever learn?

Whether or not Gallagher is a target is unknown at this time. If he is and he signs you have to consider what his value to the squad/team is after at “least” three months, perhaps even longer.
Would he be a constant thorn in the side of defenders and create space for others, would we see an increase in goals from others playing alongside him?
A squad/team is like a jigsaw, he could be a perfect fit.

For me, this is the sort of uninspired signing that in part, has gotten us to where we’ve been for the last few years. He’s not unproven as such, rather he’s proven that he’s at best, quite an average player in this division. I can’t see a major upside and would much rather we took a bit of a calculated risk on someone younger and hungrier that this fella. He will be on fairly good money too. Might do a job for us but don’t think he’ll set the world on fire.

I really don’t know how I feel about this Just feel like at least we have a CF and it doesn’t mean we won’t be getting one or more other more exciting forward players. I’m at peace with it. |

He has decent pace, is strong as an oxe, good in the air, and able to hold the ball up as well. The only downside is that he doesn't score enough, but close to 10 goals and he will clearly be an upgrade to all we had on top last season.  |

From watching him against us, I always thought I wish we had someone like him, with the other talent we have have, and hopefully going to bring in, I can see him making a lot of space for them to exploit.
He’s not prolific, granted, but he plays the unselfish role and works hard for others
Be nice to have a 6ft4 attacker for set pieces too,

Nobody could’ve foreseen Sammie’s goal scoring form last season for instance and Gallagher had a big role in that. It’s an intriguing one for what he brings to the team and could potentially unlock in Bae & Million. |
