To be fair to the club, the big sexy bastard is exactly what we need, he is the answer to all our woes and transforms us as a team. He was available, and most importantly of all, wanted to come here. The club deserve criticism for many many things, but this is pure bad luck. He was the right signing, but yes, with risk due to his injury record. But we are a nobody team these days, safer bets in the same mould aren’t bloody interested in us. Right signing, pure bad luck. To be fair to the club? To be fair to the club! TO BE FAIR TO THE CLUB!!!!!!! The one thing nobody should ever do on the Oatcake is be fair to club.

Looked through the goalscorer odds on Bet365 before the game and Gallagher was listed 🤔 More chance of him scoring than some of them...😜

Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Ryan Maee recalled at some point, even if thats possible. supposed to be some news off the medical staff on Gallagher on Friday.

Exactly what we need when fit , no use if not . Listened to Dean Saunders on Talkshite yesterday and he said one golden rule in recruitment is don't sign injury prone players something we do again and again and again and again and no doubt will carry on doing until we want to improve

Whole thing is a bit weird, isn't it. They are clearly embarrassed by him and lawals injuries one of which we knew about the other we knew the risk given his Blackburn appearance trajectory

Said the minute it happened it’s a season changing moment and so its proving , totally avoidable too , ridiculous to leave him in so long

Exactly what we need when fit , no use if not . Listened to Dean Saunders on Talkshite yesterday and he said one golden rule in recruitment is don't sign injury prone players something we do again and again and again and again and no doubt will carry on doing until we want to improve Signing injury prone players is ok if you're taking a gamble on somebody with ability beyond what you can afford to pay for a player with similar ability with a good injury record. But it needs to be done sensibly with enough players with good injury records to cover them in case the worst happens and they end up spending most of the time out injured. If you put all your eggs in the basket of an injury prone player with no-one else in the squad who can provide similar cover when they're out, as we seem to have done and seem to repeatedly do, then it's just far too much risk and you end up in the situation we find ourselves now. It can work and pay off handsomely. Ricardo Fuller is the most obvious example in our recent history where we were able to get a player with an ability level well beyond our budget of the time and we were able to keep him fit enough to become a hugely important player for us. But more often than not injury prone players continue to be injury prone and you have to sign them with the idea of them being bonus players, a luxury that could really pay off if you can keep them fit. But don't sign them as a key component of your plans as we seem to have done with Gallagher and Lawal.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-injury-bosun-lawal-9680676“Then we have Sam, who is progressing really well. Hopefully I think we can see him after the international break. We’ll see exactly when because it’s the hamstring injury he picked up in the Swansea game and you know it’s a little bit tricky and we have to be cautious. This is what the medical staff is telling me but this is our target, for after the international break we will start to see him, bringing him back into training slowly and when he is robust enough hand there is no risk of getting a new injury we will play him. I’m quite positive. He’s progressing well.

I thought GDPR meant these things can't be aired publicly anymore?

I thought GDPR meant these things can't be aired publicly anymore? I think GDPR covers individuals rights to be fully informed concerning any disclosure and to give appropriate permissions? So if the player consents then there is no issue. Someone correct me, if I am wrong?

So if the player consents then there is no issue. Someone correct me, if I am wrong? GDPR was brought in because organisations were increasingly storing personal information about you and the point of the legislation was to prevent those organisations using that information in a way you had not agreed to (like making it available to the general public or selling it to third parties to profile or spam you). It gives you rights to ask what is held about you, how it is used and to have it deleted. In this case a player's medical condition it would be seen as personal information and unless they had explicitly said the club could disclose this information to the general public it could be construed as a breach of GDPR if they did. It's not there to suppress free speech. It's there to give you rights to control the information organisations can hold about you and gives you some control over how that information is used.
