One of the best debuts we've had in years. A proper partnership.
He's no frills, but having a focal point up front doesn't half help. He brings out the best in others, we've not had a player like him in years.

His striking partners have scored plenty of goals with him chipping in with the odd one himself, let's hope we play with Cannon & Gallagher every game, let the opposition worry about them instead of us worrying about the opposition.

Gallagher & Cannon...saw them at the Hollywood Musical Festival in 72 along with Ginger Bakers Air Force & Grateful Dead...... I joke....a fully functioning Gallagher could turn out to be the perfect partner for bit Cannon & Million

Can 100% see why his Strike partners have always scored goals, took 2 men out the game with his presence, real handful and made the correct decision 9/10 times. Fantastic ball for Cannons second to boot

The finish for his goal was sublime. Struck with confidence and sweet as a nut.
His other goal (wrongly disallowed) was also a great finish.
And his through ball for Cannon was brilliant too.
His all round performance was extremely encouraging. Has to start on Saturday.

He's like the Mama Role Final Boss.
I can see after last nights performance why strikers tend to score 20+ when playing alongside him.
Keeping him fit is going to be absolutely crucial.

If he stays fit mate and plays 30+ games, I'll go out on a limb and say I don't think we'll struggle. Rate him that much.

Best player on the pitch last night, hardly put a foot wrong, strong, physical and quite agile as well. Cannon definitely benefitted from his contribution - Cannon and Gall eh Gouranga.

Yes, it says something when he is man of the match when another player scores 4 goals. Thoroughly deserved.

He was close to MOM for me too, but when a Stoke player scores 4 it has to be him! When was the last time this happened? Paul Maguire in our last game against Wolves where we stayed up?

Wow.
I didn’t see that coming.
Arguably the two best performances by Stoke forwards since relegation.
Even with Pompeys shiteness that was impressive.

He's a nuisance type of player, drags opposition players in to allow the space for the creative outlets.
Love his application and seems to be a positive character.
Funny old game isn't it, out of all the players signed in the summer Gallagher was the one most were dismissing and he may end up being one of our most important this season (if he stays fit).

Was his goal onside? Looked it to me It was marginal wasn't it. I thought it was definitely onside at the time but I've paused it since and it looks like his foot might have just been ahead of the play. Didn't matter in the end, but would have deserved another goal for the brilliant run and finish.

Was his goal onside? Looked it to me Looked just on but reasonably tight. Luckily the referees didn’t fancy giving the attacker benefit of the doubt, too many goals in games as it is….

Gally is extremely valuable to us - he can supply something to strikers that we've been missing for a long time, serviceable passes that can be turned into goals. The fact that he can occasionally chip in on his own? We haven't had that in ages.

He was brilliant wasn't he? If he performs like that for the rest of the season we've got a right player on our hands. As someone already said above, he really did remind me of Mama. Keep up the good start Gally!

You know people come up for shite names for partnerships SAS,BMX etc.
We’ve got CannonGall (like cannonball) 😂😂😂
Hopefully Tezgel is watching Gallagher closely as Tezgel could be the natural replacement.

Was running and looks like his hammy has gone big time as he stumbled holding it and fell. Doesn’t look good at all.
