Nothing new in what he says. Every manager always says we need good characters we won’t buy for the sake of it. We will only buy players that fit . Heard it from Pulis through to Schumacher. The idea we can bring in international players is questionable given our financial constraints . Shopping in Ukraine maybe but tried and trusted players come at a price . Gallagher and Lawal are weighing heavily on his shoulders

Maybe try making sure they’re going to be ready to play football sometime soon. Your biggest signing of the summer still not having set foot on a pitch in a competitive game is kind of shit. DIdn't the scan on thingamajig's lower back reveal a fracture only pop up once he'd signed? He might turn out to be fookin ace but it’s a really big problem when your main business doesn’t play even when you were in decent shape to start with. Our permanent business looks pretty horrible atm, it’s added next to nothing of value bar Victor. Really needs to be a lot better. It’s what the recruitment team will be judged on not loans, they’re dead money.

Which leaves Gallagher and Lawal. Gallagher a gamble that might not pay off. Lawal unfortunate but widely tipped as a decent signing. Not exactly car crash stuff. We also retained our big three players. Throw in Cannon, Koumas, Phillips and Moran as loan signings who are all contributing and it hardly looks like a car crash. Not a resounding success (yet) but the jury is out and it’s been way better than most of our disastrous windows since relegation.

We didn’t spend a great deal in the summer and the majority of it has hit the pitch for less than two whole competitive games. If that’s what good use of resources looks like to you that’s your issue. In addition Bocat looks like second choice for his position and Gibson is pretty meh, I don’t see him as any less vulnerable than Wilmot or Rose. So yeah barring Vik I don’t think we’ve got much bang for our buck. Loans are OK I think Koumas is the best of them and seems to have slipped out of the starting 11 for some unknown reason.

Interesting interview that reveals a lot . Clearly Walters wanted a HC that worked the ridiculous hours he does . SS with young family and relocating from Plymouth to Ormskirk didn’t have the time to commit to those hours . That’s my take on it anyway . Chatting on the phone at 9 o’clock at night with Chico seems an everyday event . I suppose one might say Elon Musk works 18 hours a day so it’s acceptable to achieve your goals . But hey come on most would say get a life . Then his assessment of Moran I would say is over stated . But hey he’s Irish . One thing though he’s aware of the flak

Yes folks, you heard correctly, Walters works too hard and has a tendency to want to employ those with a similar work ethic. Epic 😂😂😂
