JW clearly likes yes men and nodding dogs. This is why he sacked Schuey and brought in Pelach. If that is true, then Walters is putting himself before the clubs best interest.

As far as I know , no one has come up with any evidence that he's a yes man .Just one or two posters say so. So until it's proved I call bullshit . Sorry. It was just a bad joke. A very bad joke. I thought it was a very good joke 🤣

So after yesterday’s victory JW surfaces with a story about going to Ukraine with Danbury as they have identified this as a market for bargain buys . He can’t help himself can he ?

Can you substantiate your comment in respect of JW surfacing with a story about going to Ukraine or are you being a little mischievous to say the least. Apologies in advance if I’m wrong because I’d like to read or hear his most recent comments after yesterdays win on recruitment

He hasn't done anything wrong, he's finally disappeared into the back ground and long may it continue.
Let's just hope his January recruitment is better than his summer.

He can’t help himself can he ? he’s not said that at all The point of my post is that many in recent weeks have said that JW is in the press far too much . Whether you agree or disagree with that is a debating point . For those who say he courts to promote himself then is it mischievous to suggest that Nixon has had his information directly? Who knows but is it coincidence that the story comes out after a victory or is that reading too much into it ? So for those on the he’s too public side of the debate there is further evidence. My motive is not to be on either side of the argument. I’m just trying to provoke further debate ( which in the great scheme of things is just fun )

It couldn’t be much worse his biggest permanent buy hasn’t yet set foot on the pitch, his next biggest outlay hasn’t completed two games worth of competitive minutes and another can’t hold down a starting position. Good job we got Victor or else permanent recruitment would have been a whitewash.

…..SJW is surely the obvious upgrade for Edu.

Hes had all the SCOBA guys up at Clayton Wood watching training this week
Doesnt make him a good DOF, but a decent thing to do IMO
Whatever else is thrown at him, he gets the club

Not quite sure where you’re coming from. If my view is anything it’s consistent. We’ve won a couple of games we’ve not been very impressive in either. The point in question isn’t affected by the odd result the bulk of the permanent recruitment for fees in the summer has barely seen the pitch. I see more negatives in changes he’s made than positives. EDIT: By the way it was posted on November the 4th we’d just won our last game.

Last season he arrived and seemed to pull everyone together. We then stayed up. How much of that was real, and how much was performative is hard to tell. But we achieved what was needed at the time.
This season he took decisive action when he knew a lot of people will give him flack for it. ‘He wants yes men’ conspiracies are missing the simple fact that we have assembled a front line that should be getting a lot of goals in this division. We seemed to be settling into a scraping by mentality once again under the umpteenth manager in a row, and frankly that seems like a strange tactic when we can field Cannon, Bae, Moran and Manheof and still have Koumas on the bench.
For me the objective this season was surely to give the fans something worth watching, and at least allow them to believe a future play off push is conceivable (given 6 bottom half finishes in this league, I would be surprised if reaching the playoffs this year was really on anyone’s radar).
If he achieves that (and it looks plausible given the start under Pelach) then for me he’s hit his target and should be allowed to carry on.
Of course the permanent signings will need scrutinising. It feels like the loan market is finally being used properly, but it still feels like wait and see on most of the summer permanent signings.

The permanent summer deals are by no means a write off but as it stands so far we’ve had very little bang for our buck.

I didn't particularly like how he handled the Schuey situation but must say I think Narcis is an upgrade and in all it was the right decision. I liked Schuey and thought he was doing an ok job and was slowly improving us but I never felt very confident we could win a game after going behind, I felt like we could possibly draw and wouldn't go down but we weren't creating enough. Now I feel like we can win even if we go 2 goals down, I think the players believe they can too. It just feels like Narcis is on another level. We don't even need to be the best team on the pitch and we can still get something from a game. Not since MON have I felt we could beat any team. Narcis hasn't been lucky with recent results despite what some think regarding Victors saves, the team and staff at the club have been rewarded for their hard work.
The spirit within the club now is a lot like how we picture Walters as a player. Walters was brave putting his bollocks on the line like he did but it looks as though we are starting to see some shoots coming through. Our young seedlings are starting to sprout and seems only a matter of time before they blossom.
Walters is definitely in positive territory with me at the moment and I feel a little more confident he knows what he's doing.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cj9nrd0xd9go"I'm here with him first thing in the morning and normally we're still here at half eight, nine o'clock at night, me and him just having a chat, he doesn't want to leave before me and I'm saying the same to him, how can we improve every part of the club, what are we doing, how can he help Ryan and the 21s, (and) because my son's in the academy, I go and watch them train and help those coaches get what we're doing with the first team. "It's (about) surrounding yourself with good people and trying to lead it, not micro-manage it." www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-training-ground-jon-walters-9719797“This is first class,” he said. “As a player coming here, you’re thinking you’ll be able to get everything out of yourself. There are no excuses. What we want to make sure too is that it’s not a comfortable place. We have to give players every tool to produce on the pitch, every recovery tool, and a place where people love to come in and work to get the best out of themselves. That has to be the mentality. It’s what we want from every player, every member of staff. “It’s a statement too as a club to everyone here, to everyone else in the league, to everyone else around, that we’re not here to sit back. You’ve heard about the five-year plan that is being extended to seven years and we keep wanting to improve. We want to go somewhere, we want to be better than ever before and we need the people to do that, in a building like this, to keep pushing us forward.”

What’s genuinely amazing (not) is how quiet this thread has been since we have seen an upturn in form and the general mood around the place.
Some posters will be genuinely disappointed if Walters proves a success.
But it’s ok, they’ll find others to take the credit instead.
