Stoke Ladies now moved back to Wellbeing Park as frankly Norton where they were is a dump. Lots of stuff between Stoke Women and Stone Doms such as the Girls playing for Stoke on a Saturday and Stone Doms against boys on a Sunday. Some really really good players coming through for the girls academy, their U10's have some seriously special players

There's a sign up at the Wellbeing Park in Yarnfield: "Home of SCFC WOMEN". Is this where they play now? Stone City FC 😉😉

Reminds me of a certain goal by Crouch.

Seventh win on the spin coming up.
Already 4-0 away at Halifax.
They've scored over 30 goal in there last 7 games. Wow.

Halifax are the whipping women of the league with just one point. Could do with a couple more in last 10 minutes to boost our GD. Brilliant form though and just 6 points off top with a game in hand (I think against a crap team, so actually just 3).
Big test next week away at 2nd placed Forest, win that and they can start to think about a serious promotion challenge.

I watched a tournament at Hibs in the summer and the u10s teams were technically light years ahead of the u16s who were still hoof n run. Wee lass plays at the Performance Centre up here for the 9-10s and there is some serious talent in there - some of them are completely bossing u12s girls football already and the best three or four stand out for the lads teams on Sundays. They don't have access to academies until 12 I think which isn't a bad thing as they still play with freedom. I watched the Dundee academy boys and they all play exactly the same - it's robotic and soul destroying seeing young lads playing like that already!!

What's even weirder is that the crowd would be a majority of women, possibly, with young children!

I watched the Forest women’s team beat the Stoke women’s team at Eastwood a couple of years ago and they were quite a distance apart in quality and judging by this result they still are

Disappointed but they need to forget that one and continue as before. They can beat anyone else in that league

They are now full time from the beginning of the season, they previewed the match on P&G Friday and it was mentioned.

You'd imagine the jump to fully pro would make a big difference. Newcastle were pro and won the league last year by 11 points. Quite a gap in a 12 team division.

Hibs and Hearts were about 20-25 points off last season but are both now full time - made a huge difference and can see the ones who are semi pro/ amateur: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/scottish-womens-premier-league/tableIt would be pocket change to Bet365 to go full time and they could rocket up the leagues if done correctly.

Agreed. Would seem to be sensible to be in the top two leagues asap as they’ve formed a PL style entity outwith the FA womensleagues.thefa.com/nikki-doucet-appointed-as-newco-ceo/

It'd get us in-front of the curve too for me because, although it may never get to the levels of the blokes game financially, it isn't going away anywhere soon. There is an absolute tsunami of talent coming through that I truly think people don't realise or appreciate. The girls playing now haven't been coached from a young age whereas the current u12s-u14s have probably been taught from 7-8 at least plus have access to academies now - the difference as these progress is going to be completely unbelievable. The other benefit is there isn't the financial disparity so although might lose a couple of Chelsea, Arsenal, etc if there's a regular conveyor belt of talent coming through we'd be absolutely laughing.

"Head Coach Marie Hourihan named just a single change to her line-up from last weekend’s 4-0 defeat of Halifax as former Forest defender Olivia Cook replaced Evie Priestley in City’s starting XI to accommodate the Potters’ switch to a back five in Nottinghamshire." 😅
