Depends on price but I dont think his wages were cheap, I seem to remmeber 20 K and him being one of our higher earners.
At that price not unless we have scanned the market and don't think we cna get better for less.

Are we opening up an old folks home for left backs?

Are we opening up an old folks home for left backs? The fact Wherty mentioned him, who's pretty ITK, is scaring me a bit. But surely Schuey isn't going to allow Walters to bring in a busload of OAPs? He's got to coach them, not take them on day trips to Margate

Good news in many ways though we definately a young LB like the lad at Crewe who can be completion for the spot. When he’s played he’s made us look a better side. Adebisi? Not bad but don't think he's up to the level we should be aspiring to. Would have gladly taken Harry Pickering a couple of years ago That’s him.

If we do sign Pieters it will be for a left centre back of three role I would suspect.

Good player WHEN fit... But that's the problem...He was fit for 46% of our league games this season, and we knew he was injury prone before he signed. Him plus another left back will still most likely result in JT having a spell at left back this season. Which is fine as long as it’s for less than 10% of the total games in the season.

I am not sure about all the "as long as he's back up" comments. Obviously we need two good options at left back but I am relaxed if Stevens starts the season as first choice. I would be more than happy mate but it's just the struggles he had with injuries this last season that gives me doubt he will play more than he will be out for.

Let’s see the good in this extension. It’s something we can do now and totally separate from bringing in new signings. I fully expect a first choice left back to come in. It’s May 13 folks…

It's one of those ones where you just hope we can tease some meaningful action out of him.
His proverbial roof is certainly shedding a few tiles it must be said. We just have to hope it doesn't cave in!

I was hoping for at least Ben Chilwell or maybe even Luke Shaw, but eh ho . . . Their injury record is arguably worse than Stevens’

Why would a third choice left back need to play more than 10% of the games there? We’ve looked decidedly better with an actual left back playing there and Thompson has looked decidedly better when playing a position (DM) that he has trained to do for years. Keep him at DM.

He certainly came back and gave us a far better balance. I mean he’s slow, really slow. Certainly wouldn’t want him to be first choice but a dependable back up. One year extension the right call for me.

Good player but need another left back coming in.
Don't mind this good around the club who has got out of this league before.
Every club has 2 or 3 experienced pros to help and guide players around for them to lean on him when needed. Also helps with the other players with professionalism and so forth.
Will help set a standard an all.

Good steady full back who can influence others. Of course we need a younger version but good holding appointment.

We missed him so much when he wasn’t in the side, which is why we absolutely must sign another LB who’s capable of playing a full season because I’d put the mortgage on Stevens getting injured again at some point.

Good news.
Was fine when he was on the pitch last season.
Get Burrows in to push him along and learn and we are in a good place.
