Did anyone here attend Torquay 1 Stoke City 0? A result that has always intrigued me Oh yes, was quite excited by signing of junior bent just before this game, can only say that excitement was very misguided!

Did anyone here attend Torquay 1 Stoke City 0? A result that has always intrigued me Yes, yes, I live in Surrey so virtually a home game for me! I could not resist it, is there a more appealing away game than this, I don't think so! March 28th 1992, Division 3. A lovely early sping today as I recall on the Eiglish Riviera. Torqual (0) 1 Stoke City (0) 0 Dobie 17 Attendance 3,260 Stoke City: Pressman, Foley, Butler, Ware, Overson, Sandford, Cranson, Bent, Stein, Biggins, Kevan, Grimes/Barnes Lou Macari was livid after City lost to Ivan Golac's men. He banned Wayne Biggins from attending the PFA dinner, even though along with Vince Overson, he had been named in the third division team of the season. Instead stating he must concentrate on the crucial mid-week game with Fulham which we went on to draw 1-1. Was this a warm day, I remember going plainmoor and t-shirts were plentiful. My dad drove and we took another stokie who my dad knew....he got absolutely mortal on scrumpy and was refused entry. Puking into kwik save bags all the way home. Alas, my dad never took him in his car again.

Sounds an interesting plan. I hope they do well out of it. I also don’t hate Colin like many do round here. Cant make my mind up about him On the face of it he comes across as jovial, pantomime villain type who is very good at what he does Then you hear stories about him (Peter Swan ex vale on Under the Cosh as an example) and a different picture is painted. Telling his player to break opposition players legs simply repulses me I've made my mind up. He's a Grade A twat.

They had a player called Wes -
Never gave Biggins a kick
I got home tickets like many did. They printed the Birmingham team instead of ours in the programme

Went to the game as I lived in Torquay at the time, hated every single minute of the game… then had to go to work… remember hating football and Stoke for a days, then satday came round again..!!!

Why? Torquay are a tiny club, no bigger than Crawley Just personal preference I guess, nothing to do with size of club. I think it stems from the time when Steve Evans was Crawley manager and he was found guilty of abusive behaviour towards a female on Bradford City's (I think it was) staff. Probably unfair to dislike a club because of the then manager, but I just don't like them. Evans is abusive to everyone isn't he ?

Didn’t Fashanu get a load of abuse as well as he walked across the pitch in a sheepskin jacket ?

I can't believe there was only 3k in the ground!!! Oh, and I snogged a girl outside the pub.
